Right now i'm shooting 178gr A-Max's but wanting to give the 155's a chance. If you had to pick one bullet for matches and hunting (coyotes and whitetails only) which one would you pick? Im considering the 155 gr A-Max, Scenars, SMK, or the VLDs.

I would love to try them all but don't have the time to load up this many loads so Im trying to narrow them down.

Please don't turn this into another "match" bullet for hunting thread. I did a search and see lots of opinions on the Scenars but not so much on the others. Anyone tried all of them? By the way the setup will be a Surgeon .308 w/ a 24" Broughton barrel. Probably will be using Lapua brass, Varget, and Fed 210m. If anyone has a good load they don't mind sharing please throw it out there.

I'd give the Nosler 150gr ballistic Tip a once over.

With a .450 BC it's comparable to the old Sierra 155 Palma (2155) and not far behind the new one (2156/.504 BC) the key to good performance with the 150/155's is a longer barrel (26" or longer, even as much as 32") and a slower rifling twist (1:12", and maybe as slow as 1:14/1:15" with the really longer barrels).
