Still appreciate the post how do you like the scal?I have only a couple of range bench sessions with the Scal + ski feet (they’re ginormous!). I am not a bipod expert and am only going to use them on the bench. I bought the ski feet to be able to shoot (almost wrote “engage”, jesus) prairie dogs in quick succession.
I haven’t shot the Scal much with the rubber feet. The ski feet slide easily on carpet-covered range benches, and sometimes “stutter-slide” a little when quickly slid over 4+ inches to get into position. I don’t think the stutter thing is affecting shooting, it’s just a gross movement thing.
Edit: just reread the OP post. My answer has nothing to do with his situation, sorry. Consider it background info, I guess.
