I am getting a Kidd 22LR - what are the pros /cons of a 0 vs 20 degree base? My interest would be shooting mostly 50-100 yards with an occasional foray out to 200 yards.

Either would work fine for 200 yards and in with 95% of scopes.
If I had a cheapie scope I would use a 0 MOA, just to stay in the central "sweet spot" of the optics.
If a mid-priced or better, I'd get a 20 MOA, just because you might want to dial a little further than 200 sometimes.

I've tried to bottom out a new scope and rings with 20 MOA in the base and another 40 MOA in the rings and still fell short. So I talked to EGW to see if they could mill one of their 10/22 bases to work with the Kidd receiver. One or two custom rails is very expensive (as in hundreds of dollars) due to the labor hours required. But if there was enough interest, they stated 30 and 40 MOA Kidd compatible picatinny rails could possibly be produced as a stock item.
My suggestion is to contact EGW if you would like to purchase a 30 or 40 MOA rail for a Kidd receiver:

I started out with the 0 MOA base with a Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 on a Kidd/Titan 10/22 and shot 50 and 100 yards no problem.. I am going to upgrade the scope to a Athlon Argos 6-24x50 and will get the 20 MOA base.. My club's longest rifle lane is only out to 200 yards.. I'm expecting that will not be a problem.
