building a multi purpose rifle(hunting, range, etc), will be on a rem SA, going in an HTG stock. I am looking for advice on which bottom metal/mag combo you guys recommend. Proper feeding is priority one, dont need more than 5 rd capacity. TIA, John

Stiller precision makes a good bottom metal that runs AI mags. It will fit what you are doing.

I'd recommend running AI's 223 mag . This will allow use of ANY AI compatible bottom metal.
The one in the picture below is a Seekins, but you have a ton of options; Seekins, Badger, Hooper Ordnance, Stiller, CDI Precision, Surgeon, R&D Precision, American Precision Arms, etc, etc.
