I've done Duracoat myself, not a big deal if you prep parts according to directions, and allow it the recommended time to cure, which is quite long if you let it air cure, but will finish fine.
Next one I will try is AH II from brownells, looks very interesting, easier to apply with spray can (or airbrush if you buy the liquid AH II), and I already have all the tools. AH II does not require oven cure.
Brownells also sells Ceracoat air-cured product (C version?) which is premixed and ready for airbrush. I will also buy that to try as well on some old firearm parts.
Whichever one you pick to try yourself, just make sure to prep according to directions, and spray on test parts first. I went straight to my handgun and AR receivers the first time with Duracoat, and while the results were good, it is still not recommended.
