I recently purchased a DPMS AR-10 flattop w/24" barrel. Rather than purchase glass for it, i've decided to go with flip-up iron sights for now leaving me the option to add glass or red-dot later.
Yesterday I purchased a MaTech ranging rear sight . My problem is in choosing a front sight that will work well. Flattop configuration has receiver rail and gas block rail on the same plane with no rail on the carbon fiber forearm.
This is my first try at adding iron sights to an AR. Research has left me scratching my head due to confusion about the various nomenclature used by various manufacturers and vendors.
Some solid advice/suggestions would be much appreciated.
