Which Thunderbeast?

I just got a 50 percent off cert for thunderbeast and I am trying to decide which can to get. I have an idea I want to build a 300 PRC so primarily that is what the can would be sitting on in most cases but I also may but it on some other short action cartridges. I want one of the magnus line suppressors. Currently thinking of the magnus rr or the magnus-s rr. What are some pros and cons of each. Weight is not really a factor.

Given the results from the 2024 Silencer Summer testing done by TBAC, the Magnus RR is 10db(A) quieter (purple column) at the shooters ear. If the use-case for the rifle is for hunting, the Magnus S will likely be more useful from length perspective.

Better get on top of using that. When I redeemed a prize table TBAC cert last month they quoted me a 15-18 month wait

Get the most suppressor you can afford. But a Magnus SR S RR would be on my short list of cans to buy next.

You’re better off selling the cert and buying the can in stock at a dealer if you want it in the next year.

Or selling the cert and buying a different can now. If you thought the wait is bad now wait until the president signs the hpa bill.

TB makes good cans but the prices have gotten nuts and they are terrible on anything but bolt guns. Lots of competition in the market now.

magnus S-RR you won’t regret it and worth the wait!
Ive used mine on: 223, 6 Dasher, 308 Win and 300 PRC. Love it.

If weight isn't a factor definitely get the 338 ultra with RR brake.
I just redeemed my 50% cert for one to run on a 300 NMI, and possibly NRL/PRS matches.
12-15 month build time but I'm in no hurry

They quoted me the 12-15 months when I ordered a magnus S in December, but it just got delivered to my FFL today fyi. If you don’t care about weight or length, I’d probably go 338 ultra or Magnus. The RR may help some with recoil too, but on that big of can it’s not going to be as effective as on the shorter cans.

I can’t imagine running a 12” can in games, but I don’t have first hand experience.

I just ordered my first couple suppressors today. Magnus RR 375 and a Magnus S RR 30cal. Stoked to finally be able to acquire them in this shit state I live in. (IL)

I use the Magnus CB RR on my 300 PRC. I used the CB version because I have a bunch of other rifles with the CB brakes on them. Very happy with it. Pretty quiet and a major reduction in recoil.

Currently own a 338, Magnus RR, and Dominus. All SR.

The 338sr on 6.5 AI is hilariously fun to shoot.

But I find myself grabbing the Magnus RR most often.

Pick one but in the end you will want another one of their cans because they are the best cans money can buy . The Wait is well worth it .
