Sidearms & Scatterguns Who carries a Glock. G30?

I carry a G30SF for duty. Great for concealment, I can easily carry it in an ankle rig, the accuracy is great and I'm carrying 1 more round than the G27 I retired.
In training and qualification my trigger finger and the heel of my gun hand get really dirty from powder fouling. Some is being dumped down through the hole in the frame the trigger passes through. The rest is blowing down through the frame in the hollow space in the backstrap of the grip. I've never noticed this in other Glocks I own or have carried. However, this is the first large frame Glock I've ever used.
Is the powder fouling normal.

Had A Glock 30 for a couple years. Never noticed this with mine. Very accurate gun and a fist full of .45. When my oldest son turned 21, he claimed rite of passage and the model 30 found a next generation owner.

Now a days dad carries glock 19.

The G30 is my favorite model! I've never experienced what you describe. Sounds strange...

I've only shot mine a couple of times so far, also a SF, but haven't noticed it yet either. I can't say it doesn't happen I just haven't noticed it. It could be related to ammo. Cleaner or dirtier ammo, more particulates less gasses formed. More of a guess though.

I just traded my G30 this past weekend, but I never notice it the whole time I had it. Sounds odd to me

never noticed it on mine,g30 just didn't fit my hand so now i have a g19 for carry & a g34 for target use

My Glock 30 is my daily carry gun and I have never had a problem like you describe. I have run a lot of Winchester ammo and hand loads with WW231 powder and its pretty clean.

Like other things in my life, my computer does things that the IT Guys say they've never seen before and my phone does weird stuff that no one else's does. Go figure.
For training I shoot Speer Lawman and for Qual I shoot Federal 230 gr HST.
I just linked up with a Glock LE Distributor to pick up a couple of new G27's to issue to a couple of new staff. I'll query them on my "phenomena" and see what they say. I'll report back...

I carry a G30SF daily in my plain-clothes assignment. I have shot it extensively, and I've not had the issue of which you speak.

Fantastic firearm and as others have said, it's a lot of punch in a relatively small package. It is a fat lil' bastard, but feels good!
