Spoke to the UK importer last week about ordering some bits for my AW and he said he had 5 on order and 1 in 7.62 and all had been sold before he even had a price. None had yet been delivered.
I would guess that nobody will get one in their hands until next year but I'm sure I will be proven wrong on here!
I take you have ordered one from Sporting Services in the UK or do you have your own importer in NZ. I guess that civvies are at the bottom of the supply chain when a big fat defence contract is on offer.

I'm guessing as well but would not be suprised if the AX carried a £300-500 premium over an AWM. Generally when a new product comes out it has been designed to be cheaper to make and the price stays the same or is more complacated but offers improvements in performance and carries a premium.
From what I've seen of the AX and that is only pictures, the rifle looks more complacated to construct so will carry the premium.
Only my opinion but the AW stock is very simple in construction.
