Who's going to be a test pilot for the MPR?

The Ruger MPR looks like it could be a great inexpensive DMR type rifle [on paper].

Anyone check these out yet? Heard they're on the street for under $600 in some places.

Sounds like a pretty decent basic rifle. I would prefer a magpull fixed MOE stock and a 20 inch barrel. My current general purpose AR15 is very similar to this with the exception of mine having a fixed stock and a 20 inch bcm barrel.

You can't go wrong with that BCM barrel. I'm actually about to build a rifle out of almost exclusively BCM and Larue parts.

All being said, the Ruger MPR looks great for $560 though. Very hard to beat if it performs well. I was hoping that someone on here may have been privied to some early testing results on one of them.
Perhaps it's still too early..

I like the looks and configuration. I could easily envision one in my slowly growing collection of AR rifles. It would probably provide a decent lower on which to swap my two extra Uppers, as well.

I recently acquired at Stag Model 6 Super Varminter rifle kit to replace my complete rifle that's now our Granddaughter's. I ordered the Stag 15 stripped lower yesterday to complete the kit.
