Why isn't the 7mm mag more popular? At my local stores it's the same price or cheaper than .300 ammunition, it goes subsonic at greater distant, match bullets have a greater ballistic coefficient, and they retain more energy past 1000 yards. I hear they don't kick as much as well.
Should I get a rifle with detachable magazines in 7mm or in .300? I haven't seen a lot of guys who make long range rifles in 7mm or magazines that will fit the 7 (as far as I know accuracy international only makes .308, .300, and .338 right?).
If you have any pictures of your 7mm or .300 rifles then please share!
PS: This would be a general purpose rifle; 13 pounds + suppressor. Mainly targets over 1000 for fun. Most shots would be over 500. I would use it for hunting (mostly mule deer or pronghorn) out to 900.
