Been on the fence if I should jump on board with the zco scopes, the promo that is running right now hasn't been helping but I haven't pulled the trigger yet on one. Have not seen one in person yet and likely wont until if I decide to get one. But my question is this, I see zco 4-20 and 5-27 popping up all the time in the px. I read everywhere on the this forum how great of a optic they are and am confused my so many seem to be popping up. Are they selling to get the mpct-3 reticle? I'm not seeing many TT for sale but I realize there are probably more ZCO out there than TT due to performance vs price. Any insight would be appreciated.

Because there's Tangent Theta.

My guess is yes, they are probably moving to MPCT 3. I have 2's and 3's and if buying new, I'd go with the 3.

However, I'm not going to sell my 2's at a loss in order to upgrade. But, I understand others wanting to.

If you can afford full boat, buy a 3. If you want to pick up a bargain, buy a used MPCT 2. They're great scopes.

This.

☝Exactly why I have my MPCT1s up for sale. I tend to get lost in a tree reticle (I guess I'm weak minded) that has all of the markings the same (dots, lines, etc.)
From the through the scope pics I've seen, the MPCT3 doesn't seem to be nearly confusing to me.
When the 3's were just being released, someone here on the Hide (don't remember exactly who.....) commented that in spite of the 3 appearing "busy", the upper portion on the reticle tended to "disappear" upon use. I have also found that to be the case to some extent.

I haven't looked through a 1, but the 2's and 3's are great. I'm sure the 1's are just as great. Same scope, just different reticle.

I've sold a few. First one didn't work on the hunting gun it was going to go on. Second one was a "free" one when I bought an 8300 dollar rifle :ROFLMAO: . Just wanted the rifle, so sold it to recoup some costs and putting my TT on the rifle instead. They are still excellent but I bet a few folks bought them on an impule buy for the deal. Then realized it wasn't for them or wanted to just try it out and sold it shortly afterwards.

I used the MPCT3 yesterday in a 1 mile benchrest match. I had no problems at all spotting all my misses ;) I also believe I had an advantage cuttingt through the mirage...however...I was shooting at 17 power and really enjoying the clean center. Man that center is nice. I don't normally shoot a paper match...but it's a friggin mile paper match...how can you turn that down?

MPCT3 is awesome sauce...however...I'm still pushing for an MPCT4 that is the same but without the funnel for the rest of you guys.

The 3 seemed to be a bit controversial upon initial release, but it’s really nice. I’m old and my eyesight isn’t what it used to be. I like the 3, am happy with 2’s and not really pining for a 4. Although, you have a cool idea......👍👍👍

They only really started popping up with any frequency after the deal started. Bought a 4-20 on the PX prior and ordered a 5-27 on the deal. Decided I would probably prefer the MPCT2 over the 3 anyways so why not?

Lots of reasons.

1: Mpct3 upgrades

2: the current deal with mount is selling more zco than in the past. So there’s just more of them on the market. Lots of impulse buying I’m sure. Happens all the time. This time it’s ZCO.

3: people waited to make sure zco was gonna turn out ok (and ended up being awesome). So now more people are buying them. More optics on market = more used for sale

4: as with anything, a certain number of people will buy a product thinking it will be the golden ticket that makes them suck less. They bought it and still suck, sell it and move to the next product to attempt to suck less.

What is the deal going on?

Free spuhr mount with scope purchase. Mile High and CSTactical are doing this currently. Not sure if any other vendors are. So essentially you buy a 3500-3600 scope and get a 400 dollar spuhr mount for free.

Or you can go over to Mile High and buy a AIAX demo for full boat and get the scope and mount for free. But the rifle is 8000 plus tax and shipping.

I do know of quite a few customers that have put their MPCT1 and/or MPCT2 to get the new MPCT3 reticle. And some that have multiple ZCO's, got one MPCT3 reticles and now want to standardize to all MPCT3. All three reticles are fantastic, so it just comes down to personal preference :)

With the promo going on right now, it's a great time to grab one o_O

...and while you simply can't tell that much of a difference from online drawings...or thru the scope pics....the MPCT3 is a whole new ball game. Use one for a few days...and it is really hard to go back to anything else...especially at ELR distances. That open center...and floating dot...it is unbelievable how great that is at a mile...and it is also hard to believe that the fatal funnel at the top doesn't obscure my vision of impacts and misses at those long distances. The open mil dots are amazing!

It seems we need a pricing structure for sending back some MPCT2's for reticle replacement.

I sold mine because I'd almost destroyed it in a dumb move and don't deserve to own a scope that nice. Oh, and I hate locking elevation turrets. If they only had locking wind, it'd be my perfect scope.

The fact that there are several ZCO scopes for sale in the PX is the same reason that there are a lot of products for sale by Nightforce, S-B, KAC, AI, etc. - people buy and sell popular stuff all the time. Doesn't mean it's bad, doesn't mean it's good, just means that people here buy and sell stuff as a hobby unto itself. Don't read anything into this.

My reason for asking this is it seemed to me there were more zcos for sale than I was expecting. S&b NF have been around and been popular for years. Multiple model lines and multiple reticles. They are going to pop up no doubt for sale. Zco is pretty new only 2 models. And they seem to have a strong following here. That's why it is unexpected to me. I get people buy and sell, have unexpected financial issues suddenly or possibly trying to upgrade. I was never digging for any dirt on these scopes as I did not expect to receive any. Asked a question before spending 3500 when I can't get my hands on one before hand.

man, tell us the dumb move!
At a match, I was "on-deck" waiting to go, rifle butt-stock on ground, muzzle pointed straight up while I was holding the barrel. Game-changer in left hand and fully loaded mag in fingers of hand holding barrel above the scope. I shifted weight or moved or whatever, and the mag falls out of my fingers right down towards the objective lens of my Zcomp! Fuuuuuuuuuuuck! Time slowed to a crawl as the mag somersaulted towards that big o'le pane of glass. At my age I didn't think I had reflexes like that anymore. I swung that heavy ass rifle away just in time that the mag just barely missed the scope and embedded itself in the sand. I said a thank you to eight pound six ounce newborn baby Jesus for saving my scope, and shot the stage.

I honestly believe that zco would’ve helped you on that ordeal if it’d have damaged the lens. Their customer service is awesome.

I also wonder what damage would have been done. That glass is tough stuff. Glad you didn't find out.

And great CS is why we do business with these high quality companies selling high quality products (and not the el-cheapie, bought on Amazon, made in China junk).

Your actions reflect great credit upon yourself, our beloved sport, and this great nation!

what is "the deal" that everyone keeps referring to? is it better than 10%/ do I have access to the deal while still being new here? I'm considering taking the plunge and making a huge upgrade from my SWFA straight ten power to the ZCO5-27 MPCT3.

Dude, where are you reading about this deal that others keep referring to?

In this same thread, on post 19, it says what the deal is about lol. Just gotta read!

the ZCO 5-27 with MPCT3 has been my favorite all around scope...have them on my Vudoo and Terminus 6.5 CM...besides the fact that the customer service is impeccable, the scopes are phenomenal. IMO I feel that they checked off every box for my needs and has been a great experience to have and to deal with this company. I, personally would highly suggest their products, if you want to get it right the first time and be done with it! my only complaint is that I cant afford to buy more! hahaha

What’s the deal, are the mpct3 out yet? I see guys claiming to have them yet everywhere you look there all taking deposits. Taking deposits to get in line and there soon to drop or still don’t know?

They've been released, I think they're just having a really hard time keeping them on the shelves.
