Will a 280 Rem Hornady Lock n Load modified case work in a 280 ackley?

I am trying to avoid having to wait and send off a 280 ackley cartridge to Hornady if I can help it.....would a standard 280 Rem hornady modified case headspace correctly to give me an accurate OAL measurement in my 280 AI?

Or do I really need the case to have the blown out shoulder to get a proper OAL measure?

I'm not sure about that? I own five Ackleys, plus two previous. When you fireform, they always turn out shorter in OAL. And then, typically, you never need to worry about trimming to length because the necks do not get longer. Better to wait. BB
