I have wanted a Win Model 70 Featherweight since I was a little kid and first held one in 30-06. Super light compaired to some of the other rifles I had handled.
My question since I am limited on research time is are there really any benefits of the .300WSM over the .300WM?
Also I was thinking about porting to help with some of the recoil.
The purpose or intended use of the rifle is a pack rifle for hunting Elk, Moose and Bear up in Alaska when I return from Afghanistan. I would love to hunt some sheep but that might be a little ambitious so I'll stick with what I can line up, or think I can line up.
