Winchester 5.56 NATO brass WCC

Is Winchester military 5.56 brass ok?
I usually use Lake City for target 77gr loads, but I have a few hundred WCC from M193 & M855 loads.

Is it for target/accuracy or should i relegate it to plinking ammo reloading?

Most of my experiences with 223 brass is that the barrel quality and bullet choice matter far before the brass. I've never seen an issue with winchester brass in 223. But I also anneal mine and use relatively moderate loads.

I've never found much difference in WCC or LC. WCC seems just as good and hard. For real accuracy loads (Fclass) I use Lapua or Starline 5.56

It works fine.

It is no Lapua, but for most shooting inside 500-600 yards it wont be the brass quality holding you back.

It’s 5.56, not .223, so i guess it’s ok. All my reloads are typically LC, not Winchester WCC. Black Hills is LC.

i avoid .223 brass, because i can.

Winchester 5.56 brass is some great brass, I have about 200-500 of em, never had a problem

I have several cans of it. Good stuff, both WCC or WMA.
