Gunsmithing winchester action question

I took a couple stocks on trade from a buddy and I have a question in regards to one of them.

What is the difference between a Winchester WSM action and a regular S/A when it comes to stocks? If i remember correctly, the actions are the same length with the same action screw spacing so the stocks are interchangeable, correct? The only difference between the actions is the spacing for the scope mount screws, right?

Action screw spacing is the same, and stocks will interchange, though I believe WSMs only came with a hinged floorplate, while non magnums were offered with hinged floorplate or DBM...
