I pd $35 for one and it was still not worth it. Gave it to Ducks Unlimited for a silent auction and felt bad for whoever bought it.

GARBAGE!!
The optics, especially at higher mag., are poor at best, and the scopes are pretty cheaply made.

You don't have to spend $2k on a spotter setup to get a decent enough unit, but like all things in the optics world...you get what you pay for. Also, your needs and wants from a spotter will determine how high-end you might need to go in terms of price.
If you run a search, there are numerous spotter threads floating around that deal with budget-minded, quality options.

Looked through one at a gun store once. Didn't like it. Eye relief was very sensitive.

Horrible spotter. Wouldn't resove 22 cal hole @ 50 yards. Not worth the paper it took to box it. Cheap came out expensive. Leupold Sequoia Green River Spotter not much better.

+1 for the Kowa, i've been to a lot of highpower matches and the vast majority of spotting scopes are Kowas.
