Windham Weaponry Ar 10 308

I have been shooting my windham for a short time and want to add a new barrel,trigger to help with accuracy.
New to shooting but am really enjoying going out and testing the rifle and my skills.
If you were to add to your AR what are the things to add and what should I focus on so I can put together a precision piece of equipment.
I don't want to be buying pieces to add and not be helping my rifle.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Start with a new trigger, Larue MBT or Geissele ssae and see how it's shoots from there. What kind of accuracy are you getting now with what ammo?

I would second the suggestion for an upgraded trigger. I have the Geissele SSA-E in my large frame AR and really like it. That is probably the best bang for your buck as far as an immediate improvement goes.

Good free floating handguard and buttstock such as magpul PRS would be my first go to just so i can have a good cheek weld and repeatable performance. Next and probably two biggest would be barrel and trigger.

I'm trying to find the ammo that fits I will try some good match ammo this weekend.
shooting 2-3 inch groups 150 grain.
at 100.
I'm going to work on really being smooth with the trigger because it's heavy.
trigger is my next purchase.
I will look into your trigger suggestions.

There is no way you can build an economical AR10 308 at an economical price point. There will be compromises. Probably a big one will be the buttstock, another huge one is the trigger, which I would immediately replace with a Geissse SSA-E, Alot of the budget AR308's have carbine length gas systems which is another huge compromise in my book. Some smart part substition of parts will help alot, but with the barrel you have, probably not free-floated, you will only realize so much gain. What is your current sighting equipment? A new barrel will help alot but I would want at least a medium length gas system, preferably rifle length. What muzzle device are you running? Good luck my friend
