So, most of the load data i see is typically for the longer barrels. However, since i'm loading for a 16" savage bolt gun i'm trying to see if anyone has any powder/ bullet combinations that work best or at least give me a good starting place. I'm thinking of going with the 168 AMAX and either IMR4895 or IMR3031 depeding on which i can find. Would a lighter 155 grain bullet be better to get the velocity up on the shorter barrel length or is there a faster burning powder i should take advantage of instead?
