Well to start this rifle will be for the wife, who only wants it for F-Class. I may use it for some 3gun, share and share alike right?

She is big into looks. She used to have a Mini SASS, which was probably a little heavier than my 5r, so for 3gun I would have to start looking like Popeye to be able to use it. She liked the look of it but didn't really like the weight. We had to sell it to take care of some things that came up last year, and now need to get her another rifle.

I have been looking at buying a good upper, mainly at Larue Stealth so far, and putting together a lower with the PRS. I have also kicked around the idea of just building a complete riffle for her with a Kreiger barrel, and JP trigger. Looking for some pros and cons of each. She will be shooting the 77smk so I am going to need at least 1:8 barrel. I would like to keep the build around 1600.

It will end up with a PST on top and an Atlas holding it up.

I think you should talk to Scott at Specialized Dynamics and find out what he can do for you. His rifles look great, perform great, and could also be used for 3-gun.

One option that comes to mind is Noveske. I get good accuracy out of my 16" Recon barrel and I believe John states that his barrels are purpose-built for hard use and long barrel life. This might be a good option for someone looking for a common platform to use for both F-Class and 3-Gun. Here's a link to their 16" lightweight, although there are a variety of lengths/profiles available:

Upper: http://www.precisionreflex.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=274249&CAT=4214
Lower: http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=124
Mount: whatever one piece you like luppy, ADM, Burris
Scope: Luppy patrol 1.25-4

Light weight maybe all together around 6.5 for the rifle and with optics and full mag maybe 10 or so lbs. I think she would like it. Also I believe the barrel on the PRI is a Walther lothar or whatever that name is. You could do this for about the same price as the Stag or a lil less.

Re: Would like some input from everyone

Yes its pretty much the same as the Mk12 mod 0 build but modified towards 3 gunners. She will not have any issues with that config.

Re: Would like some input from everyone

Thanks guys for all the input so far. These are the parts I am considering if I decide to do a build.

JP upper and Lower
Kreiger and install --installed with hand guard and brake/ gas
Noveske compete bolt
jp speed hammer
jp trigger
jp lower parts kit
magpul trigger guard
magpul prs
bcm gunfighter
BO MK12 gas block
yankee hill rifle length hand guard
DPMS pistol grip

Grand total=1840 (I rounded up to the nearest 10 for everything)
