Would talking work?

Opportunity missed.

We are back to square one when we were at the point of solving this puzzle.

The launch pad in NK should have been made a smoking crater yesterday.

There would be condemnation but it would have been fully justified.

I guess our anti missile missiles are not ready for prime time.

We look weak.

I would say this about Japan, they have grown a huge set of balls, they are showing their daring, they ar the most courageous Navy in the World. Takes a brass set to sail next to a US Naval vessel without fear of them jumping in front of you to get T Boned.

Japan just sent a strong message to the rest of the world. That despite the liberal media’s attempts to sow chaos all is well and good, and they support President Trump and America.

And are ready to take action to prove it.

Allies are important as President Trump knows and if you listen to the media all you will hear is that Trump makes our allies nervous.

Not true, Trump has a great relationships around the world. And after North Korea threatened to attack Guam, Japan proved their loyalty.

Japan’s new defense minister came out today and said he stands with Trump and added a special surprise for our Pacific Fleet that is in harm’s way should any missiles fly.

He said that his country’s military could shoot down the missiles before they reach Guam.

Japan said they will activate its Aegis destroyer missile defense system, Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera told the National Diet, Japan’s parliament in response North Korea’s threat.

According to Reuters, A spokesman for the Korean People’s Army (KPA) threatened,

“The KPA Strategic Force is now carefully examining the operational plan for making an enveloping fire at the areas around Guam with medium-to-long-range strategic ballistic rocket Hwasong-12 in order to contain the U.S. major military bases on Guam including the Anderson Air Force Base.”

Japan responded by reminding the world that any attack against Guam is a threat and attack against Japan and cited Japan’s mutual defense agreement with America as just one of the reasons they will stand with America.

Japan sits about 620 miles to the east of North Korea and they have been watching the growing threat seriously.

Most of the missiles North Korea tests land in the Sea of Japan which as they say is too close for comfort.

Sadly, Obama and Bush and the rest of the establishment sat on their hands and did nothing so now Trump has to clean up the mess.

It is a national disgrace what they have allowed to happen. Guam lies about 1,600 miles south of Japan and opting to include that island under its missile defense protection is a welcome change.

Japan had previously said they would only shoot down North Korean missiles if they were aimed at Japan.

I had the same damn thought. Not good at all. History has shown repeatedly that appeasement and hand-wringing while a lunatic builds his arsenal is a one way street.
This BS started under Klinton and reached "out of control" status under BHO. In much the same way as 9/11 Trump has inherited a war really that began under his predecessor; he was just sitting in the chair when the first actual shot was fired.

I used to tell rookie cops that if they thought the fight started when the bad guy took a swing at them that they needed to look back just a bit and see all the clues they'd missed leading up to it.

I get it Seoul has a gun at its head, literally, but what do you do?

Take your chances with 20K artillery pieces firing conventional shells or one nuke?

My history recall shows that Betio and Iwo Jima were bombed from air and sea for days to reassure guys in dungarees that "Not a living thing would roam the island after we get done bombing it"....

well that failed.

While Hiroshima and Nagasaki proved to be underestimates of the results.

Now or never I think.

and I think Im tired of the US being at war but sometimes offense is the best defense.

Is it now "Sailing while USN".

Me thinks the Asians may ask who is the bad driver now?

Well, it's all talk right now, and it's clearly not working. More balls are needed.

NOKO is afeared of SOKO and US. They claim we're a threat. Too bad if their bad dreams came true. If only...

Anybody else hear the fat kid crying wolf up there atop the DMZ?

Smoke that little juvenile delinquent.

Greg

The Pershing II missiles were disassembled, the motors destroyed, and several components were incorporated into other missiles. The warheads were repurposed and incorporated into B-61 gravity bombs.

THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) missiles are designed to intercept incoming missiles beginning at the peak of their trajectory, usually in space.

This B/S did not start under Klinton, this B/S is still going on because we never finished it the first time, much like rag head country. Either finish it when it gets started or never start it in the first place. We had many opportunity's to kill his grandfather an father both but never had the balls to end it. Not surprising to me at all the kid keeps the game going. My question is how much tax dick are the American people willing to suck an swallow at work, to kept this game in play?

Don't see how the next launch isn't considered anything but an attack.....

'The next one is heading for Guam': Giggling tyrant Kim Jong-un warns he will target US Pacific base and fire more rockets over 'cruel' neighbour Japan after overseeing 'curtain raiser' ballistic missile launch
  • North Korea's test missile launch saw a ballistic missile fly over northern Japan
  • Kim Jong-un expressed satisfaction and warned it was merely a 'curtain raiser'
  • State media called it a 'meaningful prelude to containing' US Pacific base Guam
  • US Ambassador to the UN said it was time Pyongyang recognised the 'danger they are putting themselves in'

So keep ignoring him, let him strike first than eliminate NK? Not sure Guam would agree with that tactic.

Goad him? Let Trump be Trump and come out with a speech telling fat boy to put up or shut up all ready. If you are going to strike do it now. Your launches into the ocean don't concern us and we wont respond but realize as soon as one falls short or long whether by mistake or intentional you will be eliminated. Otherwise STFU.

Put more pressure on China?

Why is South Korea and Japan our responsibility? Protecting our national borders is not a worthy mission for our military but somehow protecting other nations on the other side of earth is? We could probably make a lot of money selling them weapons, once we informed them they're security is not our responsibility. If the North attacks US possessions or troops, destroy them and be prepared to do the same to China. Otherwise, not our problem.

Because we gave our word to South Korea long ago that as long as the armistice was in effect we would maintain a US combat presence. That war contrary to popular opinion is not over, far from it in fact.

Japan,
Signed documents during the surrender ceremony disallowed a Japanese offensive capability, until the US deemed it necessary. Once Japan is given the go ahead they will quickly become a superpower. Many of the requirements and capability's are just months away if they were given the nod.

I've been many places on this rock and never hated any enemy save the North Koreans. I have a special fate I'd be happy to bestow upon every/everyone in their leadership. When you dig into how they extract info, even the most stalwart warrior would be horrified. I assure you eating one of your own, will be much more pleasant. Little place call Nampo taught a block of instruction to many who failed to either eat one, or gave up, bad mistake. There are a few things worst than death.
