For this rig, a Rem 700 S/S 24" 10 twist in 308Win, Classic stocked, shooting 48grs 2000MR & 168 AMAXs out to 200yds?
Last group I used a Harris bipod, can you tell which group it is?
This group was shot @200yds. 1-5-6X Burris Sig.

Re: Would this be acceptable accuracy to you......

My acceptance criteria varies on the intended purpose of the rifle. From the looks of it, that is a deer rifle, and any of those nine shots would probably have put venison in the freezer (or in jars, as my wife prefers to can it).

My other 308, this 700 SPSS shoots like this at 300yds, .5moa is common with pretty much the same load, exception is Lapua brass and 47grs 2000MR or CFE223. This group happens to be 42grs RE15, think I got lucky on that day.

Think he means the adjustment setup. At first glance when I looked at it, it almost seemed as if the scope was on backwards with how forward it sits.

Usually there is equal distance fore and aft of the erector box, or some room to adjust. must be a long eye relieve, scout type scope.

Re: Would this be acceptable accuracy to you......

How acceptable depends completly on what you intend to do with it. If Deer hunting inside 300 yards is your goal you should be set if you plan to pop a mountain goat at 800 yards it may not be ideal. But for whatit looks like this rifle was set up for (close range deer sized game hunting) this accuracy should be perfectly acceptable.

Re: Would this be acceptable accuracy to you......

Very respectful groups, esp given the set up. people around here seem like they have to have a 30 cal Magnum load with a 20x optic for a 90lb whitetail. Good whitetail setup, and shooting

Re: Would this be acceptable accuracy to you......

We should all remember that for a hunting rifle, a 2 MOA rifle will put a bullet within 1" of point of aim at 100 yd. if properly sighted in with the cross hairs in the center of the group. The shot may be 1" high or low or 1" right or left, but within 1". It will also put a bullet within 2" of POA at 200, and 3" at 300. How many of us can actually hold that close in the field with a hunting rifle and a hunting power scope? Particularly with a slow moving animal and shooting from an offhand or setting position. Where I hunt you can't see over the grass and brush from a prone position off a bipod, and usually don't have time to assume this position anyway.

Trust me this Burris scope doesnt have a lot of eye relief, about 3", gotta be careful at times when Im shooting 178HPBTs and a stiff load of 47.3grs 2000MR.

Neither one of my 308s like varget, they do like RE15 though.
