I have a 10X Unertl inbound - SN: 1408…and need the following items for my M40a1 build. Any help would be greatly appreciated either by buying directly from you or by your pointers on where to locate the following:

1. Mounting screws for TheHogsDen Unertl scope mount. I just ordered one of their overruns on eBay…it’s in bound as well. (BTW…really great people to deal and very helpful). Since it’s an overrun it doesn’t ship with the mounting screws.

2. Bottom metal for the M40a1.

We try and run a small degree of leniency here in Vintage when it comes to small parts and oddball requests. But, yes... a supporter membership is a good idea.

I usually am pretty short fused about out of px, that being said, just simply a little rewording is all that’s needed to take this post off everyone’s radar. I’m all for helping out folks, especially in the slightly more civilized group of the hide.

Nope... WTB and WTS are not outside the PX.

That said, there are often oddball things and smalls that really only show up in the Vintage Area. And are rare and only found among a handful of us crazies... and vintage folks. Thus a small degree of gentlemanly lenience can be tolerated. But gentleman buy supporter memberships to follow the rules, don't they?

Thanks. I had checked with them. They said they make the bottom metal in batches for the custom gun makers and had none for sale at this time and didn’t know when they would be making more…but said they would be making more. I’ll keep checking back with them.

it seems they are making them for their own M40A1 replicas...cant hurt to see if theyll make one up for you.

Spoke to GAP today and they were very helpful. They said TheHogsDen is their source for bottom metal but all the bottom metal they had on hand has been allocated to a specific build. I did learn something helpful, something that will bring me closer to my build. As it turns out, Brownells stocks the screws needed to attach the Unertl scope base to the receiver. Many thanks for suggesting that I contact them.
