I have for sale a Pvs-9 with a custom picatinny rail mount. The original dovetail mount is included along with manuals/bag. I bought a pvs-27 and don't use this anymore. The video link gives a good idea of what to expect. The image is sharper when looking thru the scope with your eye... the camera doesn't do it justice. If you watch the video in HD you can see the bullet trace and the impact on the target.

How high above the rail is the optical center using the pic rail mount and will it accommodate a 56mm objective?

Should clear a 56mm. Here is a picture with a 50mm objective with a 1.57 height 30 moa mount.
