This v3 Magnetospeed is set up using David Tubb's 'arm' extension to place the unit in a free float orientation.
I used this on a KRG Whiskey 3, which actually set the unit fairly far away from the bore, and got very consistent readings. The only thing absent from the kit that would allow you to run the v3 as-is, is the strap. This can be found on Magnetospeed's website for $2.
