Who here lives in Wyoming and owns a suppressor? I'm trying to locate a class 3 dealer. I'm in Sheridan, and closer would be better. How do these dealers work? Do they have a few on hand, and you pick it up when your form comes back? Or do you just order what you want from any brand? What type of fees do they charge; i.e. paperwork, transfer, etc.?
Thanks.

call this guy, he's good to go.

Thanks. I found them on Thunder Beast Arms website. It seems like them and the one in Gillette are the closest. Will they help me with the the atf form? I could probably figure it out. I just don't want it sent back due to "errors".

If you are going the Thunder Beast route then I would just go to them directly and see what kind of price they can do directly through them and them price one through any dealer in the country. More than likely you will find a dealer somewhere that has a price you like. Once you find a price/dealer you want to go with get with them and make the purchase through them but don't have them have the can shipped to them. Instead have them tell TBAC to keep it and you can just do all your paperwork directly through TBAC. Doing it this way will save you some time as you won't have to wait on a form 3 to the dealer and if the dealer is out of state then the out of state dealer would have to transfer it back to an in state dealer which would be a huge waste of time. The dealers in WY will more than likely have demo cans in stock but probably not ones that are available to to buy so they will have to order one through TBAC which is running about 6 weeks plus right now. Once TBAC gets your can built and a serial number assigned, you can start your form 4 paperwork and any questions you have can be answered by TBAC. Most of the form 4 is already filled out by TBAC so all you have to do is fill in a few blanks and your done. Basically if you are going TBAC, don't feel like you have to use any dealer in WY as you have the advantage of TBAC being in state and willing to work with you and any dealer you choose.

So if I worked with TBAC direct would the wait time on form approval decrease?

Only time it would save you is a form 3 transfer which is running about 45-60 days I believe. Form 4 is still going to run you about 6-9 months. If you could find a WY dealer with a can in hand and ready to go, that would be your quickest option or if TBAC had cans all ready to go but I believe they are back logged a bit.

Contact your federal employee and have her get the ball rolling.

I have multiple TBAC cans ordered and awaiting transfer (waiting on form 3 completion). If you want one from me, I will help you along the way. I fill out all your forms for you, etc. All you will have to do is sign, date and take to Sheriff for signature and fingerprinting. I don't do this for a living, I just want to help people out. I became a dealer because I couldn't get any service from the local dealer. Long story short, I want to provide the service I expect. If you are just price shopping, you may need to move on, though. But ask anyway.
