Its the same as the 300 but with the laser mounted on the bottom. I havent had a chance to really abuse it yet but i dont see anyway at all that its going to move. im very impressed with how well the 300/400 locks up. I dont really have any need for the laser so ill be buying the 300 from now on but this one is next to the bed and my girlfriend will be better off using it.
I got it from fastford here on the hide, great guy! had it here almost the next day.and gave me a awesome deal. Not sure if he still has any but i would try and hit him up.

The pics answered my question on securing the X-400 to the pistol. The X-400 mounts and tightens with a screw for a secure lockup. The X-300 is a quick hookup like the X-200. That makes way more sense since it (X-400) has a lazer and needs to keep zero.. I almost bought some X-300's from Fastford in the past... I didn't get them but he seemed ok to deal with.

I use both. On pistols, I use both, depending on what I feel like using at the time. Some pressure switches from Surefire wrap more around the front strap which can sometimes get bumped and then turn them on as long as it's depressed, other pressure switches are more in front of front strap and is way less likely to accidentally turn it on even if you lay the pistol down on it's side. On carbines, I use Surefire rail mounted tape /button switches and pressure pads on Tango Down's bottom grip. I like having access to light without having to reach or look for the on switch...Put the on switch under your fingers and then sqeeze and say "cheeze"!!!!!!!.....SmokeRolls
