At the end of October my wife asked what I wanted for Christmas this year. I told her the Giraud case trimmer. I told her to order it early as they are back logged. Well the brown truck came and dropped while I was home.

I've seen them on line and read about them, but the quality of the unit is presented in HD when it's yours. From the perfect packing box to the way the wrenches and brass were taped to the machine, all perfect.

Well within 30 minutes I got it it set up, sized 10 pieces of brass and then got the trim length where I wanted it. I then sized 50 pieces and trimmed them up. Very fast, very consistent. Clean up was super easy with my shop-vac.

If you are thinking of ordering a Giraud, do it.
Thanks,
Jack

I can not take credit for this. I have picked the brain of 427Cobra. Everything he has told me and I have read in his post's have been 100% correct.

From my co-ax press, to using Imperial, to this. I try to learn from those who have been where I am trying to go.

Glad you made the right, and only, choice for high volume (anything over 20 pcs in my book!) trimmer. Query though, why did you need a shop vac for clean up? I just trim with mine till I get a bunch of chips, then hold it over a trash can while I pull the cover up so they drop out. Done. No clean up necessary.

You get the unit a little cleaner when you use a shop vac. When you dump the shavings, there are residual shavings lodged in the unit. It probably doesn't make a difference, but I like to use a shop vac, too.
