I only find the entire situation ironic because everyone is so shocked she would use the n-word. She is a almost 70 year old woman that was born and raised in the South. I would be surprised if she didn't.

Yea I hear what you're saying but it's unfair to lump a whole race into one category over the actions of this savage. There are plenty of God fearing, hard working black folk that earn their keep just like you and I. Many even, more successful and productive than you or I will ever be.

I think Paula should have put Matt in his place by asking him under oath if he had ever used the word in his life. If he denied it put out a $100k bounty for any info of him doing so. I think his holier than you attitude would have changed rather quickly.

Paula Deen is a dumb bitch and Lil Wayne is a vulgar hoodrat, but I don't give a fuck about either one of them - the likelihood that they will influence my life (or that I will influence theirs) is so infinitesimally small as to be virtually zero, so they do not deserve my attention. There are too many other fat, stupid, lazy, addicted, and ignorant people who float in and out of our life on a daily basis; these are the people who should be of concern, because their inability to do necessary things like control a vehicle in a competent and safe manner, properly raise a child, or perform their jobs properly are the short of failings which really harm society.

"Firing" someone, or dropping as spokesman etc.(due to the use of the N-word), is not political on your planet? Please help me out here, what is not political regarding this subject? Maybe, it's just me, perhaps I don't understand what political means, nor what hate speech means, maybe you could help me and a few others out, with a clear definition, with some easily understood examples, as I guess I just don't get it. You may or may not be alone on it, but additional support would make you no less incorrect on the matter.
These are social issues and cultural issues, but they are not political issues unless you make them out to be such.
Politics in America are left vs right. Neither Paula Deen's racial slur or Lil Wayne's trampling on the country's flag would be categorized as left/right issues.
Why I certainly think and feel it's disrespectful, classless, and vulgar to disgrace ol' glory, I would love to know what you mean by never be tolerated? Should we fine him or jail him? The desecration of the flag, as atrocious as it may be, is protected by the 1st Amendment (as I'm sure you know). Again, I by no means advocate or agree with his position but I'll be damned to advocate any action against him because of it.

Now as unmanly as it may be I also lump sports into this category. Nothing in my personal life is directly affected by a sports team winning or losing or a racecar driver doing well or poorly. I can be impressed by athletic feats and do enjoy attending most any game in person but to schedule my life around ANYTHING on tv is unacceptable and rude to friends and family that I could be spending time with.

All our freedoms are political, as you have a real problem understanding that, please spend 5 minutes researching (if you're able-if not get someone to help you) the political system in let's say, North Korea, or the PRC, or go back a little in history and compare POLITICAL systems such as the Soviet or Nazi systems. The Fact that we can even discuss this in an open forum, is Political-our freedom(s) are our political system! The freedom to walk on an American flag, is a freedom guaranteed by the 1st Adm, this can not be shoved aside by "left vs right", as a matter of actual history, the dem and rep party's didn't even exist at the time of the revolution-or for the adoption of the Bill of Rights. Hate speech is Political (defined by those in power), the broad brushing of Race is political- in every sense of the word, as a matter of fact, slavery(based on race in the U.S) is even addressed in the Constitution. In case you weren't paying attention at anytime in elementary school, the Constitution is the basis of our Political system! Of course in the end, it is up to the owner of this board, if he feels this is not political in nature-then on this board it is not. If on the other hand-he decides to enforce the no politics/no discussion of race/etc. then on this board it is-end of question. Had it been a rant about white supremacy, then A) I would not have posted it, and B) I would not have found it to be humorous.
If Lil Wayne was white, I'd still want to smack him in the forehead with a ball-pein hammer. I just wouldn't have to swing as hard, because, well, you know.
I don't agree with your view at all. I think people's problems are they turn their nose up at things and let them go. I've never mistreated any person because of color. I view things in black and white and I don't believe in the grey area. It's wrong or it's right. Just my 2 cents.
