How’s it going, SH community.

I never thought I would join an online forum but, have found myself poking around SH to find answers for a number of months now. “Thanks” now and in the future to the contributors who teach smart information about the puzzles (when I grow up, I want to be like you).

Thanks for your condolences, Ranchhand. It’s a trial by fire, but I will pull through... ha!
I knew the “place that shall never be spoken” would haunt me on here. Just didn’t know it would be so soon. Keep it on the down-low for me!

Sanity does exist in these parts (idiots no matter where you go), we are simply outnumbered. Fortunately, I’m a bit of a nomad and travel frequently to retain the death grip of my last few marbles. Been in and out of here for 20 years; it's more of an address than home.

OK I live east of the Cascades too, but I spent four years in the Portland area in the mid-2000s. Also lived in Seattle three years, long ago (late 80s). Glad to be out of there. But it is a pretty place once you get out of town. Welcome to the forum! If you head east sometime and want to go shooting (after the pandemic rules let non-members into the ranges), I'd be happy to go shooting with you, Portland or not :)

Indeed, it is a pretty state. Thanks for the welcome and invite. May take you up on that offer sometime.

Welcome from the coast! Sorry to hear you are living in what I used to call, "The Zoo". Lived there back in the late 80's. So happy I'm not there now. If you are ever passing through the central coast, give me a shout.

I'm from Hermiston, the good side of the state haha. Ever make it out this way, look me up. Have a private range that can go out to a mile or more. Steel set up from 300-1000 every 100 yards, and also 1200 and 1400 gongs.
