Ok this may seem like an amature question...I have a YHM phantom 7.62 on order...having a savage .308 threaded and some extra quick connects for the ARs...thinking about threading the barrel of my RRA predator pursuit...this rifle is shooting one hole groups at 100 yards...I know the suppressor will change POI but how bad do these affect accuracy?...Ive heard so many opinions I dont know who to believe...killing time waitin for the thing to try myself...thanks in advance for any input

Re: YHM phantom accuracy ?

I have two of these cans, and they do not affect your accuracy @ all, if you shoot a one hole group @ 100M then you will still shoot a one hole group using this suppressor. you will like this can.

+1 your accuracy will stay the same, but you more than likely will have poi change.

i have mixed results with my QD phantom.

after everything gets hot, the can wobbles on the mount.

i can't wait for my tbac. i got approved on april 9th, but no one knows where my paper work is!

You should be good to go, I have not seen the groups open up with the phantom. Only issue I've ever had was a brake that had a very snug fit when cool, but would become completely locked on when the can got hot. I hit the high spots with some emery cloth until I had a good fit and have not had an issue since.

My Phantom performs very well on a number of my rifles, from .223 with the proper mount, to 6.8 SPC, 308 WIN, AND 300 WIN MAG. It hasn't adversely changed any groups with regard to size but it does change point of impact.

You have to also keep in mind that hanging a heavy device such a suppressor from the end of your barrel will change your barrel's harmonics, and potentially change your groups for the better or worse. The only way you can find out that I know of is to install one and try it.
