I have about 100 rounds through my YHM Ti Phantom QD. For any other YHM owners, is this normal? It looks to me as the gases are escaping from between the can and the qd mount. It appears to have etched the finish on the can.

I can't imagine that the suppressor is functioning as quietly as it could be if gas is leaking out the back. I have an email in to YHM for an answer, but I wanted to hear from some other YHM owners. Thanks.

Is that all you got?:)

Looks much better than mine. If you're happy with the performance otherwise carry on.
I will add that if you ever have trouble with the suppressor seizing on the mount, it won't hurt a thing to back it off 1 click after it's bottomed out. It will have a slight wiggle, and it does not seem to affect accuracy nor sound reduction. The YHM ratcheting lock will not allow it to back off. I love my YHM and use it on probably 8 different ARs, both 223 and 308.

Well, it has only been 100 rounds. ;)

If that's normal, then it's fine by me. I just figured gas coming out of the back was bad juju.

Some of my mounts do that some don't. Nothing to worry about. My phantom has over 4k through it now and while a little rougher looking after making it through a few trips to the woods its still working just fine. Enjoy your new toy.

With the TI cans you can stick them in a bead blast cabinet and make them look like new in about 3 min.
Just make sure to plug both ends as to not get glass in the can.
