Your thoughts on the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x mil/mil for a .22lr?

I am having a HELL of a time choosing the right scope for my new CZ. I am now leaning towards the Bushnell fixed 10x mil/mil. I have used one on a friend's rifle in the past and I know they are durable, strong, and well built for the money. My only drawback is that the parallax, from what I am guessing, is set at 100yds. My budget is $225 by the way.

What are your experiences with parallax issues inside of 100yds with this scope or a similar scope with fixed parallax?
Also what other opinions on this scope do you have?

I had that scope in moa/moa on a 308 a number of years ago and I didn't really notice any parallax issues on the few occasions I shot inside of 100 yds with it. For the price, I think it's a decent scope and will probably work for you. Personally, I'd recommend a SWFA 10x, it's not much over your budget and has adjustable parallax. I have one on my .22 lr and it works great for me. The Weaver Grand Slam 3x-10x might also be worth a look if you don't mind a variable power scope.

I had one on my savage and could not warm up to it. The problem for me seems to be 55 year old eyes. When I shot under 100 yards, the parallax was an issue for me.

I changed to the weaver grand slam that quickdraw17 mentions above and when I shoot under 100 yards i dial back the magnification and it is not an issue.

The bushnell is a good scope, it just did not work for me. I like the idea of the SWFA 10X and the adjustable parallax.

I don't like fixed power, unless it's low power. 10X is pretty high and can hard for target acquisition. But I have had success with fixed paralax scopes.

For rimfire I would consider the Nikon P-22 2-7x32mm which is a little under your budget.

I have owned a few of the 10x bushnell and never was really satisfied with them. I have a SWFA 6x on my savage tactical trainer and could not be happier.

The Midway BSA 4-14x44 FFP mil/mil has focus/parallax down to 10yds. I know it's a BSA, but Midway will stand behind em. I have three of them on my rimfires, and they work great for me. Great trainer scope for $250 on sale, w free shipping.

If you don't have to have the mill dots, the weaver grand slam would be a good option. They have a 3X10 mill/mill at Midway for $299. The duplex type reticles are less.

I am using a vortex viper pst 4-16x50 on my cz 452 varmint. The parallax is adjustable from 50 yards on up. I have trouble with parallax when shooting at 25 and 50 yards. I notice that the eye relief becomes very unforgiving and if I am off at all, I will get some fliers. I am pretty positive the parallax is causing the problem. I recently found the burris timberline 4.5-14x32 scope, it has parallax adjustment from 7 yards on up, their ballistic plex reticle and can be found for around $280. I am seriously considering this scope as most of my shooting is 25 and 50 yards, and I will eventually take it to 100 yards, with the adjustable parallax and 14 power this scope should be capable of doing everything I want it to do.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I have settled on the scope I am getting:

Nikon Prostaff Target EFR Rimfire. I has a target dot reticle, 3-9x power, AND an adjustable objective. It is not a side focus, but that's not an issue for me. I would rather have the annoying objective focus than no focus at all. I think this scope will do the trick for me and at $189 it is well under my budget. I have the fixed 4x Prostaff on my 10/22 and 2 pairs of their Monarch binos, I've had great experience with Nikon so I am looking forward to this new scope. I'll post a range report next month on how it does....as long as I can find some more .22 ammo haha.
