Went out with my 22. with a Zeiss conquest sitting on top of it. After first 5 shots it was was well high, 5" at 50yds or so. So I started adjusting it down. After 20 clicks I tried again. The impact had only moved about 1 inch!

So I did another 20 clicks but then it had moved little more than 3".

It was just shot lying down with a bipod, not a rest.

.....there seems to be some inconsistency here. Any ideas guys?

Re: zeiss adjustments gone south?

Does it have target turrets with 1/8" at 100 yd clicks? At 50 yards those clicks are only 1/16", so 20 clicks would be about right for "about 1 inch".

Also, you say 50 yard or so, if it was only 40 then those clicks could be 20 for 1".

Confirm what your turrets say a click should equal and let us know.

Re: zeiss adjustments gone south?

Iceshooter, I had a problem with a Zeiss Diavari yesterday. Like you, I have it on a .22lr. It's on a Savage bull barrel and it shoots pretty consistently (sub MOA with this ammo). When I tried to raise the POI 5 MOA, it actually raised 3 MOA and moved left 3 MOA. When I moved back down 5 MOA, it moved back right 3 MOA, but went down only 1 MOA.

I'm heading back out today to confirm the problem. If it's not adjusting properly it's going back to Zeiss. My Conquests show excellent tracking. Can't believe the Diavari isn't as good.

Re: zeiss adjustments gone south?

After 40 clicks at 50 yds, you should've moved 5 inches (.25/2 is .125) so 40 clicks of .125 should be 5 inches.

I would range the target to make sure you are exactly at 50 yards and then run a few tests. If the scope is not tracking contact the manufacturer.

Let us know the results.
