Rifle Scopes Zeiss conquest?

I have a 4-14x50 with target turrets. I also have several of the hunting models. Can I take the windage turret off of the 4-14 and exchange it with the elevation internals(under the cap)on the hunting scope? Was wondering if this was possible so I could just hold wind and dial elevation.

I had the same scope but I'm not 100% sure about changing the knobs yourself, I know when I ordered my scope it came straight from Zeiss ordered it from another 3rd party though and with choosing the target knobs it delayed the shipment by a week so I think maybe Zeiss had to change the knobs. Not totally sure but that is just what I could come up with.

Thanks Harleymann. Anyone else know if it can be done? I plan on calling Zeiss tomorrow.

Talked with Zeiss. They say that the knobs are not interchangable by the customer, but they will add them to an existing scope for $50 a knob with a 3 week turnaround. I hope this helps someone.

Sounds like they dropped the price. It was $60 last time I spoke with them. Good to know. I should probably send mine in before they raise it back up again.
