Just bought one for $1436 shipped from locked and loaded. Heck of a deal and I've been tracking prices over the last 6 months trying to find it less than $1850. This was a buy now! price for me.
Oh man. I’m disappointed to read this. I have been very happy with my 2 4-20x XTR II’s and a 3.3-18x US made XTR III. I have had a Pro sitting in my cart for Black Friday hoping for a deal or something but now I’m second guessing that I should get another minox LR instead.
I am really liking this scope but I can’t deal with the knurled knobs anymore. The elevation turret is manageable but the zoom ring is too much. I bit the bullet and ordered a throw lever.
I have both. The 3 is much stiffer than the 2. I haven’t worked the XTR iii all that much but I suspect it’ll loosen up. If not I’ll get a throw lever.
The 3.3-18x arrived today.
I never had a problem with my 4-20x XTR II but this XTR III is a heck of an upgraded model. The glass looks good with just a hint of purple fringing if I’m at a light transition. The field of view is incredible. The scr2 reticle is nice and thin, I think I’ll like it...
I vividly remember a middle school fist fight that involved a clenched fist flying into my eye. I can understand why you’re trying to avoid eye punches…
Since pictures and video are out there already, could we get a top down picture wherein we can make our own inferences to what this mystery XTR might be called.
I ask because my “enhance” button is currently disabled.
From the grainy YouTube video it looks like it may be a switch rather than a button. Since we already know that the illumination appears controlled in the typical manner, what else could that be on the turret? LRF? Nah. What about a switch for a spring loaded mechanism that when slid to the...
The optic is discounted to 13something. With their sitewide 12% off coupon it gets down to the price I paid.
That discount is pretty nice. I tried to add something to my order an hour after placing the order and they couldn’t do it because the box was already getting loaded into a truck.
I just bought the 3.3-18 scr 2 mil. $1127 at primary arms with code save12.
Even though I would prefer illumination or a newer yet undetermined version, $1100 was too good to pass up. I really like my Minox scopes but I also like my 4-20x XTR II for what it is, so an XTR III at ~1/2 the price...
