7mm/.284 Win Hornady 180gr ELD Match or Lapua 180gr Scenar-L

Hi all,

did you test the cal 7mm/.284 Win Hornady 180gr ELD Match bullets over the Lapua 180gr Scenar-L yet?

The Scenar-L shoot well but the ELD-M bullets do have a much higher BC. Also, the Scenar-L bullet overall length vary a lot, because of the bullet tip, which is not unique.

Do you have any comments on my thoughts above?

If they are available where you live, then these are worth a look.
The Berger 7mm 180 Hybrid Target is one of the most popular F-Class bullets in the 284 and the variants.

While BC is important, these days the priority tends to balance on availability..... so you shoot what you find the most of... YMMV

Good luck finding the 180 elds. Haven't seen them for about a year.

They've been amazing in my 284. 30" barrel. 53.1gr rl16 gets me 2870. Lazer beam.
