lets see your foundation stock

It was the Cerakote that Brad at H&W used on it... it is pretty sweet and looks even better in person. Has a different feel then the mat black finishes I have had.
What was the cost on that? Figure you had the blank chambered and threaded at the same time...

I paid for my Samson the other day. I’m up towards the top of the list and John Kyle said it would be about 2 1/2-3 months before direct orders start up getting made. So hopefully June or July we will start seeing them trickle out.

Added a new Foundation stock to the fold.... Centurion inlet for RimX. Love the finish on this one, it's got the lightweight buttstock so balances much easier. Will probably add a brass weight kit to it here soon.

I’m not positive on exact weight but it’s about 10.5lbs without optic and triple pull. 15 with everything. Chambered in 25 creed by Kinport peak rifles. Bix trigger. 135s at 2900 is about as good as it gets for the hunter matches.

Sheldon can you post photos of where the lightening cuts are? I am gonna have a local smith mod one my centurions, was curios as to where John Kyle removed all the material from. Thanks!

I've got a build on order with a Centurion and Fuzion, how do you like that combo?
It's buttery smooth and dead steady on barricades. Not sure what else one could want. Shoots tiny groups too...
6br is the easy button

Well, to be fair... I held and played with the stock immediately after they attended SHOT. Told JK on the spot that I'll order one. 😂

Last I heard, it's anywhere between 6-9 months?
I went down to that booth and Hawkins booth like 4 times just to see it and mess with it again! Lol

My Centurion is shipping out today, 6 weeks after I placed the order. Original quoted time was roughly 5 months. Talking on the phone with John-Kyle was always helpful and all of my interactions with everyone in the company were uniformly great. Even their customer service shows attention to detail, like the fact that they add your contact info so when they answer the phone they already know who you are. Can't wait for it to get here, I haven't been this excited for a purchase in a long time.

This is a complete side note but the MDT Bottom Metal fits into the Hawkins M5 inlet that Foundation does?
Yes I have the mdt m5 in my centurion inlet for hawkins. Makes my gt run from aw mags with a fuzion like a dream.

What is the difference between centurion and genesis 2 grip?

It's a fairly noticeable difference, I've got both. MG2 grip is angled backwards in a more traditional sense, and is narrower at the top and flares out at the bottom. The Centurion is a pure vertical grip, it's fatter horizontally, and puts your hand closer to the trigger. They put your wrist at a slightly different angle.

I've been an MG2 user primarily, but my daughter has the Centurion and now I've got one for the 22 RimX build.

That's great to know. My Centurion is inletted for a Hawkins with an AW latch. But I won't know if everything fits until the barreled action comes in sometime in the next month or two. Good to know there's a backup option if the Hawkins doesn't work great with AW mags.

Yes, have verified on several stocks the MDT fits the Hawkins just about perfectly.

As far as the Genesis 2 vs Centurion grip.....it's a significant difference. Especially if you have medium to short trigger finger.

If you prefer closer grips such as an AR style that is on many chassis, or something like a KMW Sentinel or older AI plastic grips, I'd recommend avoiding the G2 grip and get the Centurion.

On a separate note, I have several Foundation Stocks and while I like them.....I've also been more neutral as far as the overall comparison to other stocks/chassis that I prefer.

But these Samson IMO are much nicer than the previous stocks. The thumb shelf cuts, grip stippling, and the control bridge.....really make this thing feel very good. Obviously their stocks have always been very nice. But these changes really improved it for me personally.

Samson inbound.

I wasn't a fan at first (mostly due to the blingy styling), but I saw one in the flesh at Kahles and was like dang girl you fine.

The fact that I'll probably be able to remove weight rather than comb the internet looking for weight kits makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I'm thinking about ordering one. Did you order direct from Foundation? All see at the shops is a Genesis 2 grip option, I'm waiting on a centurion grip

Yep, Centurion grip, direct from Foundation.

I've wanted to try a Centurion with their "hillbilly cut" for a while, but I just never could score a weight kit (and was hesitant to order the $600 tungsten one, the only one that's ever available lol)... the Samson makes things easy.
