So far i have achieved my best groups with my AWSM 338 using RL22 and SMK 250gr ..2.5" to 3.5" @ 1200yds. http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1867687

I have tried other powders , Ar2213C,Ar2217, Ar2225, N170 . Groups with a couple of these powders have been down to 22mm @ 250yds , (Ar2217 and Ar2225), BUT the groups @ 1200yds are getting out to 5-7".

Is anyone else using RL22 with the 338 lapua , and how are your results?

Thanks..

I think that most folks including myself use RL25. However, if you a great load with the RL22, then why bother with the RL25.

2.5"-3.5" is 1/5-1/4 MOA at 1200 yards? You sure about that? 5 shots?

Sounds pretty optimistic for a factory rifle, even if it is an AIAW SM.

RL-25, as the other guy states, is more commonly used.
