I’m selling this 7mm prc I just built, it’s got the tikka t3x action, timney 2 stage trigger, unknown munitions dbm, pure precision altitude carbon fiber stock, proof carbon 20” 8 twist barrel. It comes with the unknown munitions 30mm rings which work very well with this action with the way these pins interface. It doesn’t come with the bipod or the area 419 muzzle adapter. Barrel has about 20 rounds on it. Selling because it doesn’t get the velocity I hoped it would. Accuracy is great though, 1/2” with eldx. Asking 2750 shipped.

I have a few Carbon barrel rifles that were...(custom threaded) for the Thunderbeast Brakes for the thread over brake style TBAC suppressors. By this I mean the threads were "timed" so to speak so when I threaded the brake on they were perfectly timed without the use of the crush washers to align the brake. Interestingly, by doing this for whatever reason it has made other 5/8-24 adapters useless. They will thread on about 3 turns and then a hard stop.

So, can you "erase" the current threads on the barrel and rethread to a "standard" 5/8-24? Obviously, can't cut the carbon barrel down.

Title says it, but a year ago PRS wasn’t even on my radar. Traded for a B14 HMR at the new local stored of August. .308, because that’s what I have shot deer with for years and had reloading equipment for, even though I wasn’t loading it.

Threw the Strike Eagle 5-25 I already had on it. Shot some of the misc factory match ammo through it. Got a case of American Marksman 175 SMK loads. Set it aside for the winter.

March I started shooting it again. Bought an Omega 300. Little trial and error, it shoots quite well with 175 SMK over CFE223 or Varget, and 169 SMK over Varget. Finally posted some crap about it on Facebook and my old platoon sgt chimes in and says I should try PRS.

So that brings us to a couple weekends ago. I can squeak out some 7-800 yard practice, but it’s pretty hillbilly. Loaded some 169’s at around 2615 to keep the recoil down a bit. I shot 40/80 that day, and the gent that had been keeping most of the scores was pretty impressed when he realized I’d been shooting .308. If I could have shot the first couple stages over, scores would have improved as I’d run out of time on them.

I have a set of 9x40 Steiner binos, but I need to find some with a bit more magnification and a tripod. And a heavier bag. I also need to find the right magnification level for me. If shooting static at 5-800, I’ll be at 16x, but there was no way I could pull that off and still see misses. Recoil management needs some help.

Got my B14r action back from DI Precision with a nice new 25" Muller 1:13 twist 1.125" straight taper barrel fitted up! I've been to the range the past couple of weekends getting things tested and dialed and it's already shown that it shoots better than I do. I've tested it with Wolf, Eley Club, RWS Rifle Match, SK Standard Plus (3 lots), SK Long Range Match (2 Lots, labeled Rifle Match on the target photo), Lapua Center-X (2 lots), Midas+, Super Long Range, and X-ACT.

It didn't like the cheap Wolf at all, and wasn't excited about the Eley Team. Those are both cheap Eley ammos that I don't really use so that's ok with me. The Standard Plus which makes 1030 out of my factory B14r and B14r Heavy barrels struggled to get to 1000fps out of the Muller and didn't group well so I'll save that stuff for the other rifles. Things started pulling together with SK Long Range Match and got better from there. Unfortunately the very expensive X-ACT absolutely hammered at 50yrds . Multiple ammos put up 5 shot groups in the 3s regularly and almost everything stayed under half-MOA at 50. It was HOT that day and I flubbed a few shots but I do that at matches so I guess this test is representative of what I can expect on the clock. The 50yrd target has data next to some of the targets, it's AVG FPS, Extreme Spread, and St Dev of all 10 shots of that ammo.

When the target moved to 100yrds things opened up but I had a lot of respectable targets (for me anyway). The winner here was the Midas+ which put up 5 shot groups of .448 and .435. Hot damn I wish I had a case of this lot number! The more wallet friendly SK Long Range Match was in the 7s and 8s as was the mid-price unicorn Center-X. Just about everything stayed sub-MOA at 100. The target is a big hard to read because with so many diff ammos I had a few random wandering shots.

Most importantly I have 350ish rounds down the pipe and not a single malfunction! Can't wait to get this rig out to a PRS match and see how it performs

Hello, I think to buy the BT72 (two screws picatinny), I shoot prevalently from bench, some time (very some) prone.

My alternative choice are the FC5-G2 AccuTac, but my dubt are about the range of leg height adjust, I thin tha the BT 72 are more adjustable(?).

On my range the targets beyond 300m are very inclined, up to 27° for the 900m target.

Can you make some advices before I make the purchase?

Sad to see it die, installed in 1964 and continuously ran until this week our GE Americana refrigerator stopped working
after over 60 years. Have not diagnosed what the issue is but I will probably try to repair it.
Compressor comes on but it does not cool.
