Barrel flats, any one use them?

Was thinking of doing wrench flats on my tikka instead of the switch lug I was planning on. How much torque is safe to put on wrench flats out on the muzzle? Can you put the wrench flats in front of the chamber instead where the barrel is heavier or will that create an issue? I’d rather this than use a barrel vise because reasons. If the flats will work, and it won’t hurt the barrel to put that amount of torque on it with the flats, that what I’d like to do.

My family has been here since 1850s. Scot Irish and Irish. Dad's side were Scots who went to Donegal, Ireland and then to the states. Mom's side were all Irish from County Offaly. I am 100% American, this is my home.

Agreed! I'm a Native American! I was born here!

Guy that rents my family property in the MS Delta told me a lot of them have been working farms in the Delta for years.
Outstanding workers. They would come over and work the season and go home to SA.

He told me a set of twins that worked for him for several years went home and bought motorcycles to travel. They were found hanging from the front fence at their family property.

Virginia McDonald's bans amish teens

Welcome to Northern Virginia and Fairfax County.

That McDonalds and the HS across the street is about a 15 minute drive from where I live.

Fifty plus years ago that McDonalds was a fucking zoo during the school year. It still is. Nothing has changed.

Although I didn’t go to Edison High School we used to occasionally drive there for lunch from my high school in the early 70s because it was the closest McDonalds. There were occasionally fights in the parking lot then, but more so at night.

The Franconia/Rose Hill/ Bush Hill area near there was, and still is, pretty working class, with pockets of military and Fed workers.

6gt

Experienced 6GT reloaders: is it worth it for me to hand-trickle H4350, or can I get similar performance in half the time using staball 6.5 and a lee powder measure?

If by similar performance you mean banging steel at 100 - 500 yards, "probably".

Once you get past that, consistency in charge weights is going to start really making a difference...so of you wanted similar performance at the 1K yard line, "no".

The other question is (and no insult intended): "can you shoot the difference?" A quarter-minute rifle and load in the hands of a 3/4- minute shooter is still only going to shoot 3/4 minute.

* It doesn't take a lot of effort to make a 3/4 minute load with a GT.
