If you manually set wind, then it will not auto update with streaming. Needs to be set to universal.

Personally, I would replace the barrel.
If it is that pitted on the crown, I would think the rest of the barrel is jacked as well.
If you have the tools to change an AR barrel, you have the tools to change the RPR, they use the same tools.
You can buy a pre chambered shaw 10 twist stainless steel barrel for 370 bucks.
They are good quality, OEM type barrels. I have experience with 4 of their barrels, all sub-moa.
No, they aren't as good as a bartlein, mullerworks or krieger, but they tend to shoot very well.

Yes, it is. The 5-42X56 HM has a larger objective lens and the Gen II was reformulated to present superb IQ up to the extreme edge of adjustment and when the riflescope has 40MIL of adjustment range, that's saying something. Also, the AOV of the 5-42X56 HM is 26°.

The 4.5-28X52 HM was designed to be more compact and yet have a great range of magnification, be strong with its34mm tube and the 4mm thick walls (like all the other X and FX designs) and sports an AOV of 25°.

Speaking from experience only with 300 blackout subs, my omega 9k is much much louder than a full size dedicated rifle can. It's super compact, but I do not find it hearing safe with subsonics. My guess is that shooting 338 Arc through it isn't going to be that much different.

If you want something that's super compact, that you can also slap on a pistol, it's not a bad compromise. But it has its drawbacks.
