Is the March FX 4.5-28x52 my new ZCO?

Still a hard no, ZCO has earned my trust, the have a spectacular product that check every box for me with exceptional service.
We get it you’re a complete FANBOY! With all due respect though your opinion doesn’t become fact for the entire optics market.

I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and clear some things up I’ve read in this thread. My name is Brandon Rudge and I am the designer of the FML-WBR reticle and a large portion of the design and influence into the FX 5-42 gen 2 prs model were a result of my direct efforts with March and honestly that’s the scope that we really should all be comparing to the other tier 1 level optics.

The first thing I’ll address is the claim that 9 months is the turnaround time from March that’s simply flat out misleading and incorrect in EVERY regard. The scopes do go back to Japan for repair but the average turn around time is 6-8 weeks which is right on par with every other manufacturer that requires items to be sent back internationally. That being said March is currently working to have some options available to get a loaner scope in the hands of individuals to ease downtime. It’s something that will be worked through and continue to improve.

The next item I’d like to address is the misleading reference to a limited warranty, March falls in line with many other manufactures on 10 year warranty’s for optics. At some point a company must move on from historical models and limit parts production on optics to allow future models to be made. This is no different than any other company and March absolutely will stand behind their optics and do everything possible to directly take care of any customer. You would be VERY hard pressed to find a more passionate team of individuals than those at March who have dedicated their entire lives to optic design.

Finally as a representative for March I will not come in and speak poorly of other brands but I can tell you that the March glass is absolutely second to none, the FOV is incredible and considerably better than much of the market, the reticle offerings for PRS and Fclass are absolutely outstanding, the writable turrets are fantastic for PRS use, the tube thickness and rigidity of the scope is in a class of its own, and the turrets on the FX 5-42 Gen 2 have been reworked and are ABSOLUTELY incredible.

Don’t take my word for it, or snipers hide for that matter go look through one yourself! Find one of the Demo guys who have them or find one on a rifle as they get into the wild and actually go do your own research I bet you’ll be very surprised by what March has done!

Zero press Gen2

Correct. I believe in the video they said it will drop about .001" at the upper end of the stroke.
The benefit of this is when your shell holder isn't making contact with the bottom of the die. It's really difficult to make the ram stop in the perfect position every single time. The stops at the bottom of the stroke always have a little give to them, or you can get some dust on it. If you have contact between the die and the shell plate, the die actually sets the base position which is reached before the end of the stroke, negating the need for cam over. This is why they strongly recommended shell holder contact on the gen 1. Most presses have a "cam over" so the maximum height of the ram is achieved before the bottom of the stroke, meaning that stop point is far less critical and the max height is more consistent. This is a lot more important if you float your dies.

At least on mine, with SAC dies if they touch the shell plate, I get almost 75k of sizing past where I need to be. Been debating about putting they die in the lathe.

300 yard consistency

I understand but there is literally no way to prove they work to anyone else. I have struggled with them off and on for years. Back a few, Anschutz USA was clearing out some 54-18 actions do the Custom shop started creating 54-18 benchrest repeaters (yeah an oxymoron). I have their #1 rifle and I told Steve B that I didn’t need one. I was seeing some vertical so I bought a Harrels and put it on. Cleaned it up. Some ammo was more affected and as I buy cases, I live with the results. The thing is you can’t prove that you either didn’t lie about the good or that you didn’t fudge the bad. It is something a person has to be interested in and try’s for themselves.

Hmm, I have a question. Why were you looking at roaches crawl out of her pussy if you got called out for a fall? Is it normal for tow truck drivers to disrobe their customers and inspect their private parts?
How did the roaches taste?🤷‍♂️

LAKE CITY, ARKANSAS 04/02/2025

One of the strongest and longest track tornadoes on record for the 2025 storm season so far. Spawned from an explosively growing supercell that matured from a clear blue sky anvil with a single downdraft column in just under an hour to a sprawling superstructure where individual features of the storm are too large to be seen from the ground, fueled by convective hot air pouring in from the Gulf. At 6:20PM, a violent rope vortex with a characteristic 'drillbit' base was spotted by ground crew, already spinning at high F3 strength and quickly grew into a several hundred yard diameter wedge with high F3/low F4 rotation. Note the horizontal snake-like subvortices extending out from the wedge like tendrils. The wedge was on the ground for well over half an hour, categorizing it as 'long track' before it gradually vanished and was swallowed up by the RFD behind the mesocyclonic wall. This storm was responsible for a number of injuries around the Lake City area. Footage from StormRunnerMedia.

ETA: The SRM crew's call in to the local sheriff's dept immediately upon visual confirmation of tornado on the ground prompted a proper Tornado Emergency, the accompanying sirens and cell phone alerts to be issued for Lake City, possibly minutes ahead of what would have happened if they waited for Norman OK Severe Storms Center to make the contact. These few minutes definitely saved lives and prevented more people from getting hurt.

This is just the beginning. They have also introduced a bill to make it a crime to misgender someone.

So now we have allowed them to take our gun rights away without a fight, we are currently allowing them to dictate to us what gender people are.....

So does any Coloradoan have a line in the sand on this forum.....or you just gonna sit back again and relax because you still have you roof over your heads.....

You fucktards that reside in CO are the biggest fucking pussies in the fucking world. Makes me sick just seeing y'all sit around while this state is destroyed.

But again, I guess y'all have to work.....

Keep working hard also, because they need YOUR tax dollars to fuck you with.

Y'all have created this mess and are just rolling over and asking for more......

Get fucked CO members

Anyone Shooting a 40x?

Excuse me because I’m still trying to learn more about the 40x. I have a vudoo and a rimx but like the idea of a 40x repeater conversion in something like a m40 stock or fbi hrt stock. My question why do some 40x have a straight bolt handle and some have the swept handle seen on most 700s?
This is a 40X....it mimics the 722. Has the straight bolt. It came first.

This is a 40XB.....it mimics the 700. It came after the 40X.

Neither are a 722 or 700. They never were a centerfire at any point ever in their production lives. They started life in the custom shop. They appear to be what they appear to be. But on the inside....they they have their own unique construction and parts that makes them inherently a rimfire rifle. They are their own animals seperate of the their centerfire counterparts.

This is the rimfire bolt. It's has locking lugs in the middle of the bolt body. Unlike a centerfire that has them on the end up by the chamber. So to accommodate that and the ejector and feed ramp....it takes many different internal design changes. This bolt won't lock up in a regular 700 short action or vice versa. So don't let anyone tell you a 40X rimfire and a 40X centerfire are same thing or that they came from a centerfire reciever. A rimfire can use short action centerfire stocks (within reason to accommodate the solid single shot reciever) and triggers and rails.
