whoever let him go free belongs in prison. if that is the policy, whoever enacted the policy belongs in prison.

Apparently it’s like that all over. Locally the street enforcement team just arrested 2 guys with drugs, precursor chemicals, pill press in the midst of use, and a few guns. The RCMP press release was deeply self congratulatory. Dudes spent 1/2 a day in custody and were released until the Crown(DA) decides on, and presses charges. A fucking joke.

So internment camps for anti-vaxers are still on

Yeah, because they were lied to and the result ruined their lives and or cut it very short due to rapid cancer. But they have so far, not been very affective at plying their desired justice. Just wait until one of them actually gets some training instead of just grabbing a gun and going for it. I would not want to be Faucci, a vax producer executive, nor anyone else who pushed that poison. You would forever have a price on your head with thousands of people.
Once groups of parents that watched the vacc take their kids get spooled up, the results will look like a Central African tribal war.

Coyote Hunting Chest Rig

That is quite nice. I often find myself wanting to carry just a bit more than my bino harness with two little molle pouch wings can hold.

I "downgraded" from an Eberlestock to a Cabela's house brand as the yoke is simpler, the bino pouch is a better size, and the MOLLE wings are larger. I usually carry binos, 10 round AICS mag, kestel, mouth calls, phone, gloves, and little things like drag lines, batteries, rubber gloves, and ear plugs. Wouldn't mind adding more ammo and some other trinkets.

I also just this summer made another modification on the chest rig. Fixed a spot to main lift on one side, to hold an Anker battery that I can just cable plug my Therm. hand scan into for long run time power .

Is the .17HMR really much better than .22LR for varmints?

Yeah "clicks" are 0.1 mrad. Sorry I pulled them both up on Strelok and that was what was saved for each chart. I fixed it. I was more focused on the elevation in inches because for snap shots I wanted a longer point blank range and for me that's anything plus or minus an inch or two.

I am sitting on a stash of .17HMR TNT, the JHP rounds. I read some posts on other forums about how people had poor luck with the poly tipped for larger game but the JHPs were okay.

I give opinions I receive on Sniper's Hide more weight than other forums so thank you for the responses. Most people here have quite a lot of time and money invested and experience gained in long range and precision shooting and it not as fudd centric. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The 20gr XTP/JHP is the ticket for larger/tougher critters for sure, whereas the 17gr V-Max is explosive of smaller/thinner-skinned vermin. I’d stick with the 20gr and keep shots within 50-75y max for larger game (closer the better for yotes if you want to ensure a humane kill).

While it’s true that a .204 or .223 will far outperform the .17, I still find it has a solid place especially if you can get a decent deal on a case quantity of ammo for it. Moreso if you don’t reload (most good factory .223 is spendy anymore!). A quarter a shot isn’t plinking territory by any means, but for a shorter-range pest gun it works great IMO!

LaRue MBT is still an option at $115?

Fair enough. I don't know anyone who has shot them side by side and didnt come away saying the G trigger was much better. Yea they were a great value for 75 bucks( and why I have a bunch of them) but it's not worth saving $50 for a heavier trigger that is poorly sculpted.

A GI trigger is viable...doesn't mean I will run one.

Also fair enough lol.

I just meant that if the OP liked ‘em, they’ll definitely get the job done without breaking the bank. I’m with you that a G trigger (particularly the NM) is better by a good margin. For a dedicated precision gas gun, that’s what I would run. For a more general purpose DMR/SPR/whatever rifle and below, a well broken in or properly cleaned up Larue does alright, especially at the $80 mark.

At $115 though, if you don’t just *really* prefer the feel of the Larue, I agree that waiting for a sale on the SSA is a better deal.
