Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

That…. Is the result of pacific tool and gauge sending me the wrong reamer and telling me tough shit. If I wanted what I ordered then I had to put another order in. Anyhow fuck PT&G….
Already waited 8 months for this one to show up. So I used it.

I was after a .50 peacekeeper which is a full length .460 weatherby case necked to .510.
What received is a rendition of the 50 whisper. I call it the .50 WarHammer. Just a .578 weatherby case cut to 2.140. 750 AMax stuffed in it.

300 blackout on serious steroids in a nutshell.

I want a new bolt action rifle, looking for some advice

But now I want to buy or build a new bolt action rifle (Military style appearance).
What does that mean?

I checked Sako, Mrad, they are all overpriced.

What about a Tikka Tac A1? You’d be just under your budget.

Well...you're not wrong!
Edit 1: Poor Jeff. Cancer took his eyesight as a kid, causing him to learn to play that way for some reason, only to return and take his life as an adult at the peak of his career.
Edit 2: I see you Liked my post with a laughing emogee before I posted Edit 1. So this edit is to credit you for those reading to know that you weren't laughing at Edit 1.

This is what I noted before I disassembled the original.

That sure looks like a 24" scale, which is definitely NOT standard for a Strat. Measure the distance from the back (fretboard side) of the nut to the 12th fret. If it's 12.0", then that would confirm it's a 24" scale. On the other hand, if the donor guitar measured exactly 25-1/4" (as pictured) from whatever point of the nut you originally measured, to the backside of the bridge, and you duplicated that EXACTLY, you should be OK, assuming the guitar intonated correctly to begin with. Note that 25-1/4" in the picture is not the "scale-length". Scale-length technically refers to the length of the vibrating string, which goes from the back (fretboard) side of the nut to the bridge SADDLE (not the back of the bridge). Since each saddle has to be in a slightly different place for the string to intonate properly, "scale-length" is really just sort of an average of these individual distances.

You said it started as a Fender Strat? If you will notice, the cutout in the body on the bottom side of the neck extends all the way back to the 21st fret. Your body/neck intersection stops at the 15th. Either way, nobody’s playing anything above the 15th on your design. I’m not saying that’s unacceptable, it’s just the trade off you made, esthetics vs playability. All those frets above 15 (maybe 16 or 17) are unusable.

Rifle Scopes Dilemma - WMLRF on older scope vs new Scope & and HHLRF

I appreciate your input. I’ve been looking at vortex lht. The razor is little over budget….

We will see. I don’t want to buy then regret what I got so I’m taking my time.

Yeah there are so many wants. I’m trying to do this the right way without going way over budget. I figured a wmlrf is pretty important if I ever do need it in different styles of shooting and a basic quality mono lrf will do the handheld portion.

Honestly my Bushnell elite from 2013 is in great shape and pretty sharp. I’m curious how much better 2k glass will be. I guess its obvious at distance

Xero C1 Pro - v3.30 update

Don't really know about deleting stuff, but how many shots do you think it took to fill it up? Must be a ton, not a lot of data to store.
If it's like the Labradar, it's not the number of shots, but rather the number of Strings. I think the LR filled up at 100 Strings before it started to write over the oldest ones. I want to say the Garmin is the same/similar.

The Shot You’ll Never Forget Giveaway - Enter To Win A Barrel From Rifle Barrel Blanks!

We were shooting at 1000 out at the high power range at CRC at some steel I had put out at the end of the pits. I hit the 12" plate and it spun sideways and got stuck on something. I told my buddy that I'd just shoot the edge of the plate and spin it back around. He said he'd buy lunch if I could do it before the mag ran out. Sure as shit, next shot I hit the plate and it spins back around. We go down and look at it and there is a streak ripped through the paint about half way across the plate. That was with a .308 AR-10, GASP!! I felt pretty cool. It was lucky as shit but I was trying to do it.

Tinnitus treatment

The cicada reference is a great one…same here, maybe mixed in with some tea kettles. Sucks.

Sounds weird, but relatively large doses of vitamin E seem to help me quite a bit. I take one 400 IU (180mg) dose in the morning, and another in the late afternoon. When I first started taking it I didn’t think it was working, so I stopped after a couple months, but within a couple days of stopping I noticed the ringing was back, and it seemed much, much louder….reality was that it had gotten better, but the improvement was so gradual, I just didn’t notice.

Still on that regimen now, and it doesn’t make the tinnitus go away, but it is a lot better.
