Supertrickler Gen 2 Tuning

Like the others said, just kind of the nature of the beast. Iv had pretty good luck with n540 but the kernels are smaller than varget this flow better. Here’s a shot of my average varget session. Iv got the bulk dialed in pretty good but the fine adjustments need work. I load on a Dillon so waiting a little longer doesn’t bother me, but the overthrows do.View attachment 8698747

well FL drivers are getting worse. Gainesville is the worst compared to Jax,Tampa,Sarasota,Orlando even Miami. at least in MIami you know that they are going to try to kill you.
your idea of 2 cops in a car is exactly what i think. at least a witness or maybe some control of assholeness. and 2 cameras. in reality also safer for cops, back up right there.
ANY camera shown to be not working any time, for any reason should be an immediate 2 week unpaid removal from duty. camera doesn't? return to station for correction of same.

It's possible whatever part of Oklahoma that is has funding issues and cannot afford to put two cops in every car (2 cops per car should be the standard for lots of reasons).

Florida drivers are a lot like Arizona drivers, maybe it's the heat combined with the flatness, they're all fucking nuts out here.

The story, as far as I've been able to sort it out, is most of the peoples of the Americas are descended from the Nahua (who speak Nahuatl) who crossed the land bridge ages ago and slowly worked their way south. There is a small population of near pure blooded Nahua people in the most remote part of the Mexican state of Guerrero who were never completely subjugated by the Spanish. Even the Mexican army treads very lightly in ther territory. I was in a bar drinking with some Mexican friends in Oaxaca City. One really short stocky dark skinned (not negroid, just dark) mentioned that he was Nahua. Everyone else at the table stopped talking for a moment, like they were in awe.

One member of our tribe who is looking into our specific origins is finding that we are different than many other tribes in the central California area in many features. He’s posted some writings that indicate that we have more of a Polynesian ancestry. I’m still learning and trying to be open minded.

How do you note your rifles current zero setting when storing a rifle?

I learned about trajectory, windage, and holdover from a Red Ryder. Also, about ricochets from the steel beer cans we shot at after the adults drained them, having used a church key to open them.

I was counting clicks up on a Garand long before I used a scope that could be dialed. Even longer before I had a scope with a zero stop.

The idea of using a minimally affected range to derive a zero, and then correcting from there for other ranges and atmospheric conditions by adjusting the sighting system may not be intuitive to other than you idiot savants of the shooting world.

Even if the op was a troll, this subject is a good teaching and learning moment for best practices with tools we learned to use.

So, if any one could lend a hand, it would be you.

Interesting how tribes and peoples often were described by something simple.

For example, the word kansas means "people of the south wind," also the inspiration for the hit song by the band, Kansas. Slight side story:

One of the things that irked Steve Walsh, the most well known singer and the one everyone knows, was people asking about his heritage and if he was native american. He has that look but does not know because he was adopted and evidently could not get the information and now is not interested. Granted, Steve is a bit shy. Second singer and violinist Robby Steinhardt often did the patter between songs.

Now, how do I celebrate that my maternal grandfather was from Germany?
Lose a war? Or two?

Surnames mean nothing, a BigY700 test at FTDNA will give you your Haplogroup and downstream genetic mutations. Certain mutations are associated with certain Clans. I am Bell Beaker, R1b-L21 that over time moved over to Ireland , and then back to Scotland as a Gael of Dal Riata as a Sept of Clan Donald. Scotland is a blend of Gaels, Anglo Saxon, Jute, Norman. Robert the Bruce ,his mother was a Scot, father's line, 1066 Norman. My surname project has three distinctive genetic lines that use the surname, none of the three are related and represent different invasion timelines, Beaker being the oldest.
So you gave them your DNA? ;)

Distribution map of the Esselen language in California prior to contact with European cultures
Archaeological and linguistic evidence indicates that the original people's territory once extended much farther north, into the San Francisco Bay Area, until they were displaced by the entrance of Ohlone people. Based on linguistic evidence, Richard Levy places the displacement at around AD 500.[2][3] Breschini and Haversat place the entry of Ohlone speakers into the Monterey area prior to 200 B.C. based on multiple lines of evidence. Carbon dating of excavated sites places the Esselen in the Big Sur since circa 2630 BCE.[4] Recently, however, researchers have obtained a radiocarbon date from coastal Esselen territory in the Big Sur River drainage dated prior to 6,500 years ago (archeological site CA-MNT-88).[5]

As for Asian drivers, all kidding aside I lived in Vancouver, Canada. I was downtown at 5pm one evening when all the businesses all let out and suddenly I found myself in a sea of Asians. Despite being married to a 4th gen Japanese Canadian, it was still striking to a white boy from Maine.

Vancouver in 1997 did not have any left turning lanes. These mostly Asian drivers were by far the most courteous drivers, I had ever driven around. They would literally stop and let you make a left turn, on a green light. This was not a problem because the people behind them expected this.I became very relaxed driving around Vancouver aside from planning my trips with right hand turns as much as possible.

Then I moved to Boulder, Colorado, and I was in a sea of white people. Some of the worst most aggressive drivers that I’ve been around in a long time. I couldn’t even compare them to driving in Florida, which I had thought until then, was the worst.

Then I moved to Wyoming, and I have to say that was a shock. I have never driven around worst drivers in my life. These people will look right at you and pull out into your path. It is really something to get used to. They just assume you will slam on your brakes.

I’ll take Asian drivers any day.

Is this other scope made in Japan as well? (If you can disclose)
The scope I am referring to is made in Japan.

The scope in the video mentioned in the original post appears to be Chinese, but from a decent OEM, if I am not mistaken (the whole business with Chinese OEMs is very murky, so it is a guess).

Tinnitus treatment

I used to work with some of the folks at Etymotic who took an interest in my shooting team. I’ve had tinnitus for about 31 years now so I asked them about it since they’re all audiologists. Here is a response I got…

“Thanks for reaching out to us; Gail forwarded your email to me. I am no longer at Etymotic, but am in clinical practice as an audiologist. I met other members of your team, working together at Shot Show in Vegas when I was still at Etymotic, and I'm glad to hear you had another good year.

The Neuromod research and device are currently experimental, not FDA approved for use in the US, and not available clinically. On the positive side, the approach--bimodal somatosensory stimulation--appears to show some real promise. In this approach, auditory stimuli (sound therapy) is combined with electrical stimuli to another area of the body (cheek, neck, or, as with Neuromod--the tongue). As explained by Susan Shore, PhD, Kresge Research lab at U of Michigan, the root of tinnitus is in the dorsal cochlear nucleus in the brainstem. Loud noise can trigger a change in the nerve cell activity in this area of the brainstem, altering the timing so the nerve cells in this area fire spontaneously, instead of waiting for sound in the environment. Not only do the cells fire, they become hyperactive, and the signal is transmitted to areas of the brain where perception of sound occurs. If these signals (hyperactive firing without external stimuli) can be stopped, tinnitus can be stopped. Researchers at the Kresge Research lab at the U of Michigan hold a patent on the process, which can lead to long-term changes in the rate at which the nerves fire. This aims to reset the activity of the fusiform cells, which would then stop the tinnitus. The research at UM was conducted with subjects who could alter their tinnitus by clenching their jaws, sticking out their tongues, or flexing their necks. The UM study was optimal, as it was done to gold standards--double blind, placebo controlled, crossover design. This means the researchers and the subjects were blinded to which therapy the subjects were receiving; both groups of subjects received a placebo (sham) treatment for comparison; one group received placebo first, then treatment, the other group received treatment and then placebo. They found the sham treatment was not effective, but the bimodal treatment was. That was key. The drawback was their subject pool, who could modulate their tinnitus (as described above). Their research is ongoing.

The Neuromod research did not use a placebo control, nor a blinded study protocol, as far as I can tell. Without a placebo control its impossible to determine how much of the effect is due to just doing something, as well as interaction with professionals. Also, I was unable to determine what their subject inclusion criteria was. On the positive side, they had a large number of subjects, with positive results. On the negative side (besides the lack of blinding and placebo control) is that the therapy was 60 minutes daily for 3 months. But, it appears the results carried over for some subjects at a 1-year follow up.

Research is ongoing, but still promising. Your best bet would be to participate in a clinical trial if possible.

Best to you and the whole Jade team,

Patty

I've probably put another 100rds through it since original ad was placed.

A Clan Chief could make anyone a member of a clan, pledge of loyalty is all it took, genetics were not an issue, Clan Law was democratic, as opposed to Feudal Law.
