Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

.

Never understood why anybody would do that to ANYbody that they KNEW wouldn't be able to handle it. Girls, little kids, etc. Even if nobody got hurt, that person would never want to shoot anything again or have an incurable flinch. Pisses me off severely to hear of these dumbass pranks
I agree.

Especially with women and children, start them off with a .22 lr and work up from there. That goes for rifles and pistols alike.

My wife's first pistol shooting lesson was .22 lr, to .380 ACP, to 9mm. When she got comfortable I asked if she wanted to try my 1911 in .45 ACP. She did just fine with it, after the fundamentals were learned.

Teaching women on my rifle range, I give them a Tikka Varmint in .223 Rem, that is suppressed. Women and children don't like loud, and they don't like recoil. That rifle has neither one. Machismo has no place in effectively teaching someone to shoot.

Advanced Marksmanship What is the most accurate long range 338 lapua magnum ?

@lash Remind me to swing by Ace this week.
I want to grab a couple of cans of white primer and a couple of Kilz and test them side by side at Arena to see if they work better than standard white.

I have a feeling the steel specific stuff might just be like Kilz or high build primer.

What color water line will your old eyes need? 🤣
I’m bringing a can of the Steel Target paint. You can compare that as well.

I’ve used primer before and it works. It’s just that the Steel Target paint is a full 16 oz. for $6 and also has much better coverage than normal paints or primers in a shorter time. Ask Rick, he used it last time.

Hot Pink! 😳😄

Accessories New MDT Premier Gen 2 Chassis - $800 Shipped - R700 SA RH

Well let me be the one to say I'm Xucked Up. The person that requested the payment was @Gentleman4561 not (Gentleman4561) that is selling the MDT Stock. I will delete what I posted and eat the $800 for not recognizing the @ sign before the username. My apologies

No it wasn’t. It was Kmdn__crew who had zero posts and was not a supporter who scammed you. Putting a @ in front of a name just highlights and tags the user. Same name. You were scammed because you posted in a PX thread and a scammer jumped in. Never post in a PX thread. PM the seller directly. Never send money to someone who isn’t a supporter and has zero posts. Slow down and look next time. Sorry you lost the money but use it as a learning experience. Again never post in a PX post!

Info on weibad bags

Both sizes will serve you well. It’s mainly a matter of preference to most shooters using them positional or as a rear bag. I would venture to say the tater tot is more popular due to more magazine clearance and a larger surface area to stable your rifle. That’s being said, I have both and like them both. For rear support, I give a slight nod to the tater tot.

NICS checks out in free states

Are you saying that this criminal check is done "automatically" every month for all CWFL holders. or only when some action triggers it (i.e. FFL Delivery or CWFL renewal)?
I am not saying anything. I’m asking. @sgtsmmiii brought that up. I don’t know.

Do you mean "Driver's License" of CWFL when you say "7 year renewal?" MY DL yes is a 7 year renewal but CWFL is only 5.
Of course I mean my CWFL. Which is a seven year renewal. I renewed mine last year and it expires in 2031. Ive got it setting right here in front of me.

You better check yours.

I was wrong though when I said it has both date of issue and date of expiration on it. Unlike your DL, it only has the date of expiration on it.

Finding a wife

Here's another trad-wife warning. Note: a real trad-wife doesn't have to take to social media to tell everyone that she's a trad-wife with her boobs hanging out.

Trad-wife is mostly a scam ,it just a chicks pitch for a man to finance the stay at home lifestyle ,of course social media continues

300y ladder with 223/80.5 Berger/N540

The problem with a Ladder shot at 300 yds is that it mixes the factors that affect the Point of impact. By that I mean the the path the bullet leaves the barrel and the velocity variation that is affecting the drop which also affects the POI. The environmental also begin to come into play including mirage.

When shooting a Ladder on Target at 100yds you have to dissect what variables will be affecting the point of impact (POI) and consider the effect those variables on the POI. Velocity as it affects the built drop due to gravity is almost nothing. A 100 fps variation in most centerfire cartridges is going to affect the POI by less than a caliber. The largest variable in terms of impact at that range is the line of sight/flight path that the bullet leaves the barrel. This is primarily determined by where the barrel is pointing in its vibration cycle and velocity of the barrel that is perpendicular to the bullets velocity. This is a function of the barrel vibration frequency and the barrel time which is a function of velocity. When the powder charge is burning uniformly and the barrel is moving slowly in the cycle then small change in the velocity will not cause a large variation in point of impact. As for seating depth, it has a very small effect on the POI but due to the behavior of the bullet and its orientation in the rifling will affect the dispersion around the POI. When shot at longer distances the inherent variations in velocity (SD and ES) begin to have greater influence on the POI and can confuse the results.
