Optics Leupold MK4HD 4.5-18 w/mount

Selling a lightly used MK4HD 4.5-18x52 scope. Currently in a Vortex precision 20MOA cantilever mount with diving board mount. It has the PR2-MIL reticle.

The scope has seen very little use, was initially intending on using it on my practical precision/DMR rifle, but lately have been running a 1-10 LPVO instead. Glass is still perfect, no damage or even signs of use on the exterior.

Asking $1150 shipped, for scope and mount (would like to keep them together if possible)

Would trade for/towards (can add cash on my end)
-Eotech Vudu 1-10
-Razor G3 1-10

Real gunsmiths chime in.

To the professionals out there, not the shade tree guys like myself, y'all tell me if I'm on the right track.

Some time ago I built myself my first rifle. Trued up my action to the best of my abilities and chambered my first barrel. It shoots pretty decent. Half moa is the norm with minimal load development, and it's shot a few in the. 3xx range.

The problem is, when I chambered it I got some reamer chatter toward the end of the chambering process, and I failed to notice it until I test fired it. It's very minimal, but you can feel it in the fired cases. And you can see it in the chamber now that it has a few hundred rounds on it. Probably more like 5-600.

But it shoots good so why mess with it? Well, #1 its not right, and it's bugged me since day one. And I think it's probably going to lead to erosion in the neck due to it not sealing like it should when fired. And #2, probably the main reason, I want to learn how to fix my mistake.

So here's where I'm at. Long ago, the smith that used to due my work for me, may he rest in peace, had told me he had one chatter one time. He had called brownells and was talking to them about it and they told him a process to follow to get it to clean up.

He said brownells told him to take a cotton/flannel cleaning patch and fold it in half and make a small cut with a pair of scissors in the middle, and to slide it over the reamer to the neck/shoulder junction and take a light cut. Repeat the process until it cleaned up. He said he only had to do it once. I forget the depth of cut he said he took.

So that's where I'm at. Am I headed down the right path ? What spindle speed should i run ? I'm here to learn, feel free to tell me if I'm screwing up or if there's another way I should go about it please let me know.

I already moved the shoulder, the breach face, and the bolt recess forward .062" and my witness mark on the barrel and reciever lined up perfect.

Also, I picked up a reamer stop off of LRH, and before I moved the shoulder and everything forward, I slid the reamer in and adjusted the stop to the breach face. Then I added .005" just to make sure I didn't go too deep.

Here's the setup.

Gunsmithing Triggertech Diamond 2 Stage issue

I’ve never had this issue before. I just bolted together a new impact 737, 25x47 barrel, and Triggertech diamond 2 stage.

Every 7-8 cycles of the bolt, I get this odd trigger feeling where all of a sudden it’s not a 2 stage. It feels like a single stage, and then just breaks randomly. Like you go to pull for that first stage, and wham, it fires. I’ll attach a video somewhat describing it.
I’ve tried adjusting the weights much heavier with no luck. Tried a different bolt aswell.

I’ve got like 6 of these adjusted waaaay lighter than this, never a single issue.

Bad trigger?

Optics WTS: Steiner M5xi 5-25x56 MSR $1600 shipped

Steiner M5 military 5-25 with a great reticie MSR. MIL open turrets CCW = Counterclockwise for +UP elevation dial. 34mm tube. Great shape overall, superficial light marks on turret sharp edges here and there. Perfect glass, bell, bottom of bell, Tiny scratch near ring area shown. Only disclosure, thin O-ring for battery cap is torn. The cap is on tight so you don't spin it off for the Illumination control. I created a ticket with Steiner online for replacements. My local hardware store did not have a thin enough o-ring and I looked through a bunch. $1600 shipped. Retail is pretty crazy on these right now

Will May 5th be the nail in the coffin?

Not sure how it all works, heck in the last recession I bought my first new vehicle and thought $500 over invoice at 0% was how you bought a new truck all the time.

Saw a video where the WH Press Hottie said “May 5th…involuntary collections ”

I bet they made sure it was a few days after rent was due so landlords get paid. Car notes it’s the other hand, maybe they won’t get paid.

Never been in collections so idk how that goes either. Just curious if this will change anything. I’m sure the sage of the Bear Pit will derail this anyway.

SOLD Vortex 18x56 Kaibab binos

They had a trip back to Vortex 2 years ago. My eyes aren't the best so I think there may be some dust micro scratches on lense. But if there is, they are very faint and to me can't be seen through the lenses. I just want to be honest. I've had them for 4 to 5 years and no longer have lens caps and such. They will include the RRS tripod strap. $550 shipped

It’s got basically no wear on it whatsoever, except for where the spigot plug plugs into the rifle.

The flash sort of highlights areas on the finish, but there’s really no visible metal anywhere except on the tongue.
