Got it to the range for the first time today and it’s ridiculously fun and stupid quiet. Was ringing steel at 300 yards pretty consistently with 147gr subs.

It's a one off (actually two) build on a CZ action in a special made Manners stock that takes Glock mags. The can is a Griffin Resistance 9. At the shooters ear, the firing pin and spring is louder than the report of the shot.

That thing is so cool. I would have bought it if it was a lefty.

Funny, I was just wondering last night about running a subsonic 357SIG though a CZ 527 with some 200gr cast. I think that the facotry CZ mags would work given the 762x39's case head's only .015" larger diameter and it's CRF bolt to help guide the cartridge home.

Mr. Louroo, can we get a picture through the mag-well? Last I looked you had to do a bit of cutting on the bottom of the receiver to fit a G17/G22 DSCF mag.

Thanks for sharing. (y)

I'll take a pic for you, but my understanding is that the bottom metal on this one is completely custom milled from scratch. Not sure if the receiver was milled.

This is a great idea because it's likely with reloading ammo one could keep the SD's down compared to rimfire. Plus it's easier to see where hits and misses land.

CZ's 527's are neat little rifles as well.

9mm rifles are fun as piss. Craddock built this upper for me last year, and I haven’t shot much else on my 100y/pistol berm since. I imagine that a 9mm bolt gun would be a much more valuable training tool. You got a pretty kick ass rifle.

The bottom of the action has to be opened up for the mag.

The biggest problem with say the 357 sig or any pistol size cartridge is the distance it has to travel unsupported, so tapered counter bores and furthest forward feeding mechanism is key. Also extracting is problematic with such a small case on a rifle designed action. It could be done for sure but a lot more to it than just opening the bottom of the action

I love it. I hate everything Glock. :) If there was a version without Glunk magazines (i.e. that super angled mag feed) ....

I want one. How much does it cost to build/custom order something like this? Did this start as a CZ 457?

How about a bolt rifle that feeds from an AR mag (like the Mossberg MVP .223) that could use the new Endo-mag 9mm inserts in a 30 rd Pmag?

Guessing this has some draw over a 9mm SBR or pistol configuration?

Anyways, thats where I would think.

And a 45 ACP version would be awesome too!

I got some of those Endomag inserts with the CMMG Guard 9mm upper. Its having significant extraction problems. The Endomags work great. I think the problem is the CMMG bolt / extractpr / ejector. (its semi auto) I'll be contacting them this week. But in a bolt gun the Endomags should work great.

That thing looks like a modernised version of the DeLisle Carbine. I love it!
My version of the De Lisle carbine (Integrally suppressed, 45acp, 1911 magazines) built on an Enfield by Special Interest Arms. They are no longer building these rifles, but I'm sure it could be built by someone else... I added the cheek rest and scope for a sniper rifle.

I've seriously considered turning an old 308 barrel into an integral 300BO barrel and feed it from 223 mags. 220s at 900+ FPS without the headaches of a pistol mag in a package very similar to the DeLisle.

Basically....

Not bolt or integral, but your idea is solid. Maybe even marketable.

Except the bolt gun means a locked action, which makes a BIG difference in overall noise level. Plus with an integral (and no gas system to futz with), you can keep the whole thing in a 16.5" overall barrel length with a permanently attached can (Or in my case, part of the core being permanent with removable baffles) means you only need 1 stamp, too.

Yup. 300BLK is *begging* for this very setup. I'd suggest 178's over 220's tho. Least that's what works great in my semi, above. A little less powder needed to get to 900 fps so a little less noise, and a litle less drop over distance.

I might actually have to run 178s anyway, as the barrels I am looking at re-using (they're old chambered 308 barrels I got from a friend of mine) are 10 twist, so 220s are not guaranteed to be stable. The plan is a ~10" barrel with a pinned and welded ~7" extension, an expansion chamber that runs all the way back to the recoil lug from the end of the barrel, baffles installed over the extension, and a ~1.2" diameter outer tube that runs all the way from the muzzle to the recoil lug. Internal design is going to be super simple (probably just flat baffles), but the intent is to be easily stripped and cleaned with a LOT of internal volume to keep it nice and quiet.

I *like* that. Alot. Self built? Or shopped out?

Nah, if I get around to it it'll be a F1 build. A friend of mine is a machinist and has a lathe (I did my first 223 trainer barrel on his lathe) and has done F1 cans of his own before. We'll be doing everything but the barrel from scratch, and even the cut and rechamber job on the barrel will be done on his lathe.

That thing is beautiful!!! Congrats on a sweet rifle.

Work in progress. Bolt action straight pull with 5.5" barrel. Will eventually have an integral can/handguard.

Still gives me a boner

It’s so much fun to shoot. I was recruited to be a range master for a church youth group outing a few weeks ago. I brought this with me and let the kids shoot it. I had a bunch of Dads come up to me at church the following day to tell me how much fun the kids had shooting it and asking when they were going to get to shoot it. ?

That 9mm bolt gun would be dandy for putting down sentry dogs prior to a breach...
