The idea: Offer a DBM for true hunting rifles that appear to be BDL hinged floor plates. This was at the request of a big player client we do subcontract work for.

It started on a Monday at 10am a week before the NRA convention. Friday afternoon my wife and I were breaking every traffic law you can imagine as we raced to Fed Ex to get it delivered for Saturday am. 2 minutes to spare... :)

Now, now the next problem to solve. Were looking at close to 20,000 units a year.

    I like those problems.

Pretty cool. The floormetal is a two op part. I think I can get it in one with a small tooling revision. We shall see...
This accepts convetional AI, MDT, ARC, Alpha, and Accurate magazines as well. Obendorf type release latch. Contoured guard bow to try and give a respectful nod to classical sporting rifles. A "gamer gun" version will come online parallel to this as well featuring the church belled entry well and larger paddle type release lever.

Thanks for looking. They are going into production here soon and will be available on our store as well. We'll also offer a LA version and an M70 type is not too far away either.

100% machined from 6061 AL, 304SS and Chromoly.

Is that a flush fit mag you will offer? Capacity in SA...3 or 4 rounds?

    Thx

Is it going to work with a receiver that has the standard Remington BDL magazine cutout?

he said they will offer a long action AND a m70 version is not to far away either.
That means a r700 long action is coming AND
    A m70 version is coming.

    Couple of quick questions...

    1. Will this DBM be a drop in replacement for a circa 2009 Stainless Steel Rem 700 5R MilSpec .308 rifle which has a BDL configuration and sits on an HS Precision composite stock (the one with green webbing)?

    2. Will the HS Precision stock inlet need to be modified in any way to accept this new DBM bottom metal?

    3. Does this DBM accept the Magpul PMAG 7.62 AC - AICS Short Action 5 and 10 round magazines directly?

Above probably sound like silly questions to many but the alphabet soup of compatibility is oftentimes difficult to navigate without having all the parts in front of you fit test. Appreciate you all putting up with the nonsense! :)(y)

I don't believe this is going to be a drop in replacement for you. Your stock would need inletted for the BADGER M5 pattern DBM system to work. AI pattern mags are too wide to work with a stock inletted for a std. Floorplate. From Chad's email I'd guess the magpul mags may work as well since he says its compatible with typical AI pattern mags, but I wouldn't bee too surprised if Magpul mags need need a little tweeking because they are polymer. The benefit to this system is it looks to give a flat bottom on hunting rifles (when using their magazines) while still retaining the capability to use AI pattern larger capcity mags. Win win for everyone.

    Looks great man!

How about a 4.00" detach mag system for the 700 LA, 300 RUM's? ...like the Seekins model that is no longer made...?

Im getting this metal installed on a R700, .308, build at LRI right now.

Im getting the full package with a ten round mag, 2 fives, and I've challenged Chad to come up with some lazer engraving of an EGA on a flush mounted mag plate.

My life is currently geared to opening my emails and hoping to see one of those highly efficient LRI update notices.

They are better than two Christmases.

Mags made in-house? Or AI, ARC, MDT, etc.?

Flush I assume to be an in house production.

Fives and tens I've asked for AI assuming everything else is just a copy.

Understand the $ probably goes up with the trademark.

I've heard good stuff about ARC mags should I do other than what I am doing?

I'll likely be buying more from the PX when I see them, just need to understand what correct type is to buy. Assuming standard single column, center feed.

    Which is that?

    I know it's not AW.

Looking good, really like the shape of the guard, well done.
On the chromoly steel units; is the floorplate/bottom of the box steel as well.

Debating buying the SA mag with the LRI flush mag for a Rem 700 7mm08 hunting rifle with a Manners BDL inlet. Think it could give me option to use a longer heavier bullet and still mag feed. I’m interested to hear of anyone else‘s experience. Thanks!

Wish this was in a LA setup. Would love it for my 7RM.
I have a rem700 LA with a old kwik klip bottom metal. Just googled them, apparently they are still being made, not sure if it’s still the same company. I think they were out of PA before.

    Holds 4 rounds of 30-06.
